Trent Alexander-Arnold (RB) Real Madrid

Some ‘sources’ like Spotrac publish figures but these are woefully innaccurate. Like @Zoran says you have to piece together bits of info from reliable articles to get a general feel for what is being paid. For example when Hendo was getting a new contract there was a lot of talk about the pay bands at the club.

But just like transfer fees these still have to be taken with a pinch of salt as those disclosing info to journalists may want to present a lower or higher figure for their own purposes. Its not always clear too whether the figure given will be base only or after add ons etc.

If he wants to go let him go now and give Bradley the rest of the season to settke into starting 11. Hes won it all and at an early age. Hes 26 now off to madrid to win a few extra trophies in the sun why not. Thanks for everything and see you when you retire

Although I rate Connor, if Trent does go we need someone to share the minutes as we don’t want to burn Connor out especially as he has just come back from a hamstring injury

I wanted to say Ramsay, but I was worried I might break him by just mentioning him…

Conor
Drop an N

Might look to drop a zero off his demands until he learns how to defend

Saw this and thought it was quite witty :0)

Trent wants to go to Real Madrid. He’s not even good enough for Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

IF Trent does leave I wonder if the idea might be to move Gomez into move of a permanent RB role, allow him and Bradley to split time and then bring in another CB instead of looking for a replacement RB.

Van Dijk hopefully will get a new contract but even if he does we aren’t many years needing a replacement for him. I think there are more interesting CB prospects out there right now than RBs - give someone a couple of years as his backup then all going well nicely and naturally takeover.

I want Trent to stay but for the money being discussed I think there are some really interesting things we could look into from a squad building perspective and it gives Bradley more space to develop.

I’m not advocating for any particular player but we’ve had links to Marc Guehi in recent years. Murillo at Forest more recently who has had far more praise than Guehi but statistically they’re very similar.

Not the worst idea although it remains to be seen whether Gomez himself will stay in the next couple of seasons

I like your thinking

You’ve got me thinking now. What if Trent is the sacrificial cow so to speak. No we won’t cave to your demands, enjoy the sunshine. Hi VVD and Mo, did you sign Trent’s goodbye card? Good, excellent. Now about your demands……

Targetted and regularly rinsed by a right back playing left wing back from a team sitting 13th in the table!
Having a bad game is acceptable, but look at the downight lazy body language for Utd’s first goal.

Roy Keane summed it up perfectly.

If he wants to stay, get it done FFS.
But if he wants to go, let’s get some money for him this month. I assume he’s played enough games to qualify for a league winners medal, 13 isn’t it?

He’ll be forgotten by March while we move on

His body language wasn’t any different form Gravenberch, but apparently he’s the scapegoat. I wonder why. Nothing to do with the existence of this thread and its reason, I’m sure.

We just have Bradley back, but Gomez is probably out for a while. If he did go this month, we would need either an unplanned signing or a loan to cover. I suspect that it is cheaper just to let him run his contract down.

I think one bad game doesn’t constitute all the chitter chatter around his contract. If he is going he would want his future employer to be impressed with his attitude over the rest of the season.
.
He may well have just had an off day. His defence isn’t any worse than it always was. He just looked tired.

I had noticed earlier in the season that Slot was subbing him in games. That hasn’t really been an option since he was back from injury. I think we have seen that before.

The conspiracy theorist in me is now wondering how long before it comes out that he’s ill and/or he’s still carrying a lingering bit of that injury.

You are having a fucking laugh…

Gravenburch has about 2191 minutes under his belt while TAA has about 1857 minutes under his belt so far…TAA has a whooping 334 minutes lesser than Gravenburch.

Isn’t that any wonder why the fans at Anfield were going bat shit at TAA dreaming in the field but are more forgiving to Gravenburch who was still busting a gut out for a recovery run?
