Trent Alexander-Arnold (RB) Real Madrid

Well, it did feel like he was rushed back due to a lack of personnel. He looked completely off it last season when he was back from injury. I suspect that it is just a case of managing minutes.

Yes, you know that for a fact.

Regardless of that, nothing you said has anything to do with body language. Nor for that matter, does it have anything to do with the first goal, which my reply was specifically about.

Why don’t you just crawl back into that hole you crawled out from?

That particular body language you were talking about is the lack of willingness to track back?

For Gravenburch, people excuse him because he did play in a very demanding position for a longer period of time compared to TAA where that particular position requires him to cover the right back, cover his own position and drive the ball from deep.

For TAA, he is given the license to overlap and/or underlap the RW with crosses from wide and the byline while his defensive duties is to put in a challenge to delay the opposing winger or full-back while one of the double pivot comes in to help.

Yesterday, he just did 1 left footed cross that led to penalty. The rest he didn’t do any of it despite playing 300 over minutes lesser than Gravenburch…

Track back where? He was literally right there, there’s no need to track back anywhere.

This, like the rest of your post, is your usual gibberish.

If Trent has decided to go, then he wouldn’t want to get injured which would explain why he didn’t tackle anyone or win any duels and didn’t run too hard, due to his dodgy hammys :kissing_heart:

And we should let him let his dodgy hammys go on someone else’s payroll

But rinse em for $30m first

I wouldn’t usually do this, but after about 40 times…his name is Gravenberch. Dank je wel

What’s your take on Robinson?

I’d be a lot less inclined to get on his back yesterday if he hadn’t been giving it the silly, look at me, cryptic celebration after his goal against West Ham.

You want the limelight, attention and people talking about you? Well fine, but expect the volume on that to be turned up a notch when you throw in a stinker in your next game.

Would all be a lot more palatable if he just got his head down and worked his bollocks off until there’s comment to be made on any final decisions one way or the other.

Is that what you saw from it?

I know that many other people read it as “it’s all media talk”.

Reality is that unless he made a statement about what it meant, it’s just your own assumptions about it. The only comment he’s made about his contract negotiations I believe was that he has no interest in talking to the media about it.

Antonee? I think he’s the best LB in the league right now but I’d rather take a look at Kerkez as a long term prospect. Robinson will be 28 by the time next season starts which isn’t old by any means but it would make him a one contract player.

“I have signed 5 contracts at this club and none of those negotiations were played out in the media and I dont se why this will be either.” followed up with a celebration implying people should not listen to the gossip.

I mean if he wanted to say “pay attention only to the performances on the pitch” it wasnt a great time to make that point given how bad it was, but I dont think he has rally done anything to exacerbate the response to his contract situation.

I’m not assuming what it means, I’m saying he’s inviting people to make assumptions about what it means by courting attention with it in the first place. Attention you’re saying he apparently said he doesn’t want and yet there he is, making it a talking point.

I don’t get this concept of “Player X has given 20 years to the club …”. To me, in reality, the club has given 20 years to you, with at least 10 of those with the hope that you wont be one of the thousands that don’t make it. If we buy someone, they are essentially already developed, or have some rough edges, at worst some still with a lot of development (older youth transfer), but to claim you have “given” 20 years, just annoys me as its filled with entitlement. Sort of as if the club now owes you something.

It’s an enormous privilege to be in the position to “claim” you have “given” 20 years, while thousands of others have “given” years and have found out that professional football is not in their future.

While this rant is in the Trent thread, and it is applicable to him, it’s also applicable to many other players, from hundreds of clubs, that have come though the system from a very young age.

I think it’s a no-win situation here for him, really. Either way it’s still going to be a talking point because of their bid.

I think its a talking point because the contract has got down to 6 months. It’s either him or the club, and I am 99% sure its not the club. It’s inconceivable that the club would not of tried to negotiate a year ago, 18months ago, so in essence he did not like what was offered, and here we are.

Yes, just casually ignore all the discourse on this and how it’s gotten to this situation.

Was this an auto correct for wank jewel?
