I really don’t believe that the sticking point for the signing on for us is money, or rather I choose to believe. It would be disappointing if TAA is rejecting us just because we offered only 300k or thereabouts. I don’t think and hopefully he is not that kind of player
So I think there is some degree of truth to wanting to be Captain, maybe not immediately but once VVD leaves. But it will also sound strange for someone to leave a club just because he couldn’t be Captain. And fwiw, since a long time ago, I have always said that TAA is nowhere capable as a Captain. The only reason people want him to be is that he is local.
Ultimately we don’t know what’s going on the scene and I can only hope that this match was just an one off and not that he is really affected.

Totally agree, Trent may be great off the pitch but on it he has too many lapses of concentration to be a permanent on-field captain.

I don’t care about the contract situation. I don’t care about what’s on his mind. He’s a big hole in our defensive line and needs to be out of the lineup.
One or two more games like that will affect our winning chances. That’s all I care about now.

I am as annoyed with him as anyone, but the hyperbole is getting out of hand.
He hasn’t been this bad the entire season. He was one of the best against West Ham less than 10 days ago. He’s having a better season than last year, notwithstanding the recent shambles. And he is most definitely part of the best eleven.
That said, it goes without saying that similar performances will quickly earn him a spot on the bench.

He was piss poor on Sunday, but maybe support is better than ridicule?
Average 2 goals and 11 assists every season since his debut in relation to the what 3 goals and 2 points we drop because of his shit defending.

I watch the 442 videos all the time and enjoy them and can laugh at our team, players and myself.
I expect Trent to get shit and all professional footballers would get pelters if they had that performance, doesn’t stop me supporting him.
With all thats gone on, going on it is only to be expected, he will get my support every game, but for me, his head has been turned and that affected him yesterday.
