Fans are allowed to boo him, but it’s annoying in the context of a precarious game, that clearly impacted us negatively. Shame really, but ultimately nothing was riding on the game, which is why i think it continued.
The whole thing was utterly moronic. Idiots who put themselves and their hurt feelings above the team.

Nothing wrong with fans making their feelings known, whether it be at a game or not regardless if I agree or disagree.
It happened to Owen, it happened to Mcmoneyman, it happened to Torres, it happened to Sterling, it happened to Coutinho. If Stevie had decided to go to Chelsea, you can be sure it would’ve happened to him.
It was never going to be any different with Trent.

What we feel is different to a lot of those that are Scouse.
Trent made his decision and has to live by it and the club should have been aware of the possible reaction.
I watch redmen TV quite a lot and those on there were unsure what they would do and their feelings.

Doesn’t change anything, the intentions and feelings they felt are all the same. They’ll always be a portion of die hard Liverpool fans going the extra mile when they see something they perceive as an act of betrayal…of course they’re going to react negatively.
It’s football and the same in every large fan base all over the world. I have to just shrug. He chose Real Madrid, letting the club get no fee for him, of course some will boo him. He can take it. He is an adult.
I will have fond memories of Trent, but this is a fucking non-issue as far as I am concerned. If it was so important for him not to ever get booed, he would have stayed or made sure the club got a good fee for him shrugs again.

Some fans are too entitled. You want to boo? Do it after the game if you can’t handle someone deciding to try something new.
When Klopp first came, he made an impassioned plea to the Anfield crowd to get behind the team all the way to the whistle. This mentality is why we scored so many late goals under Klopp.
But no, let’s boo and allow the opposition to feed off it.

Which for some, that makes it worse, as he is leaving a successful side, hoping to win more trophies and he has shunned us, his boyhood club, the club he says he loves, for Madrid.
I do wish him well and we will miss him but we move on and as lot say he has spoiled his Liverpool legacy even though he has helped us get back on our perch.

There you go, there are a million different characters among a large fanbase, even the local one.
I felt embarrassed, some of them didn’t and that’s it.
Must admit, I was horrified when I heard the booing.
It might show some players to think twice about leaving on a free, or engineering a move, but the booing just didn’t sit right with me, especially when the player has played his part in getting us back to the top, and when our legendary former manager in Klopp spoke about our support and supporting the players so often. In the space of a year, we’ve forgotten his words. We don’t have to cheer Trent, or thank him, but just remain silent.
What are we going to do in a fortnight when the players are taking turns holding the Premier League trophy aloft in front of the Kop? Boo him again? Or will those fans treat today as a one-off to make their feelings known, and go back to normal for the final home game?

6 year old quote. He was a kid back then and it’s being used against him now. In the meantime he captained Liverpool. He was essential in winning 9 trophies. 120 goal involvements as a full back.
No need to watch Arsenal Fan TV when we’re embarrassing ourselves with booing one of our own at Anfield.
