Used that Trend Alexander-Arnold before, but I’m no dad. Getting old for sure though.

On the tapping up discussion, Arne literally said in an interview a week or so ago he’s been talking to players we’re interested in. So presumably that’s tapping up, no? Was surprised he said it so explicitly.
James Milner was telling friends and family he was coming to Liverpool in October 2014. He didn’t officially tell City till May 2015 so i guess thats tapping up too.
I would assume that there would have been permission granted by the clubs those players are currently signed to.
It might be that we’ve been given permission to speak to them.
Lots of clubs rely on sales to be self-sustaining and so are going to be open to clubs talking to certain players providing it’s done in the proper way.
Take Nunez for us. If someone has approached us to say they’d like to talk to him to gauge his interest or openness to joining them then we’re probably going to be okay with that.
Ultimately I think clubs have come to realise that if some other clubs wants to talk with their player there’s not a lot can stop that. Be it agents of the club talking to player agents, international teammates talking to each other or agents approaching clubs. It’s going to happen, it’s just how far it goes before the team are included that seems to be where the line gets drawn.
I know TAA massively looks up to Stevie, but Xabi couldn’t have been far behind. Bet that was a big draw as well.
The whole thing feels very transparently projected. Especially with the noises coming out of Brazil over Carlo, when Xabi announced last summer he was staying I dont think there were many people who imagined him staying more than the 1 year.
What the fuck are you on about.
I concur, it’s a perfectly cromulent stance to take
Are you suggesting something else here?
As he gone yet?
No, testimonial when?
For a few minutes, the focus went, instead of keeping a great atmosphere, supporting the players towards winning the game. Even other players looked a bit uncomfortable with the reception of a part of the crowd towards him.
I felt ashamed and sorry for him.
What ever you think of the reception when he came on, the continued baiting of him was at best unproductive
Why, it seems a lot of Scousers, living and breathing in Liverpool and die hard fans feel let down by him.
Whether I or you disagree, It is their perogative to make express their feelings if they feel so.
Classless scum.
and disgusting. Shameful from an Anfield crowd. Proves we are probably no worse but now definitely no better than any other clubs fan base.
Fans are allowed to boo him, but it’s annoying in the context of a precarious game, that clearly impacted us negatively. Shame really, but ultimately nothing was riding on the game, which is why i think it continued.
