This is why I think he has received that send off yesterday. He seemed to suggest we should not listen to “all the nonsense talk” yet had already rejected contract renewals and seemingly already made up his mind to go.

That seems like a massive stretch and when I saw it live my first reaction was that he was sick of the constant chatter about him while he was just getting on with business (business being winning the title). No way was I thinking that it meant he was staying.
As for the booing, these cunts likely didn’t do that for Firmino or one of the typical crowd favourites. I am intrigued to see if Trent has a Gini-type sitdown after leaving and complains that he didn’t feel as much love from the fans as many other players. I would think he has permission to feel justified in those thoughts. Yesterday doesn’t help dispel that belief.

If not, then I would love to understand your thought process on how a player- who almost certainly made this decision as far back as 12 months ago - is in the wrong for completing his contract, not making a peep in the media and getting on with it.
