Thats just unbelievable from yourself, you come across as been better than everyone else. Then when you get called out for it its all stop picking on me.
If I was afraid of people picking on me I wouldn’t post as I say what I see and sometimes they aren’t the populist posts are aimed at easy targets and I know I will get push back, but I at least try to explain my points and whether people disagree or agree if they have reasoning behind why they disagree, I respect that.
Whereas you are just a one sentence reply, with no context explanation or reasoning as I said a snide poster.
Just watched this on Redmen TV and for me it is a great insight into what Scouse supporters think starts at 39.22 mins.
But…why ?
There is no logical reason to play him when the season has been decided, other than make a point for inexcplicable reasons, when reserves needs matching. It is rather common that you don’t play an outgoing player (even if he is sold and not had his contract run down in a contentious manner) and let someone (yes, even if they are not as good) who is going to probably be in the club next season, play instead.
I just don’t get why you have such a strong opinion that he must play just because we can, particularly when Slot has barely played reserves all season.
Was about to post, but then I saw you post this: “You have no way of knowing that, and I suspect Jürgen’s approach wouldn’t be different from Arne’s. Bradley is the future, and the future takes priority, but Alexander-Arnold is still under contract with the club so he has to play when told to.”
And here it looks like you agree with me. So I don’t know. I suppose I misunderstood you maybe.
But as expected by the 177 posts since I last attended this thread, it has become toxic.
Pretty much agree with everything said there and they nail how most of us are thinking.
I tend to disagree about not allowing him on the bus for the parade, if he wants to be part of it he should be able to join in. If he decides not too that’s fine too, not many will give a fuck.
Just to add, I think what comes over loud and clear from this video is the feeling nobody has the right to tell anyone else how to behave on this issue.
Whether you are scouse, from another part of the country or the other side of the world you are entitled to express your feelings without being called a cunt or fucking scum. Some on here would do well to take notice.
Thank you for posting
We don’t often agree lol.
Because I watch a lot of Redmen TV, It has given me a more of a feel of what the match going fans and Liverpudlians/scousers think, plus Ilike their content and mostly sensible balanced approach. Although I love the passion when we score or at/after games
You are welcome
If you play Trent will he be committed, will he go in where it hurts because if he gets injured he is in real limbo!!!
A vindictive side thinks …
what we should do is hold it against him for as long as we can…
i mean 20 years of sweat and effort and discipline shouldnt mask the audacity of responding (in what we claim as) incorrectly in an interview
right, now im off to the other thread where we claim football is too sanitised and footballers are too well media trained and never speak off the cuff or from the heart…
i really feel the refs have been fair and balanced for these last few months…
(ducks flying boot…sorry…couldnt help it…)
Knock yourself out.
I wont be, just pointed out that he said what he said.
To me, he’s now just a random footballer playing for someone else
You don’t get it. It’s not what I feel or what you feel that matters in that context. It doesn’t matter whether you feel as though we’re the least toxic fanbase or whatever.
It’s what the outside world sees. If the fanbase can boo “one of their own”, then where does it stop?
Stop bending over backwards to try to justify it. For sure they have the right to do it, and for sure no one should be calling them “scum” or “pricks”, but it was a massive self-defeating indulgence of ego. Or are they so sacrosanct we can’t be accusing them of indulging their egos?
They are the wrong players… Because they won’t have done a comprehensive review and appreciation of the club prior to having seen the news about the booing?
Sure.
Yes, did you watch the clip? Did you listen to his answer or are you just going off what’s been reported about what he said?
When I saw the initial reporting around it I had the same reaction, but when I actually watched it for myself, my only thought was “this is why one shouldn’t trust the reporting”…
My basic point is simply that we tend to prefer to play in a particular way that gets compromised when Quansah plays right-back. Bradley should start, because he is the future. But he is unable to play the full 90 minutes right now, so unless Gomez (whom I think is a better fit for that style than Quansah) can take those minutes, I’d rather us play whoever we can so the other players we may be rotating in don’t get scapegoated in a shitshow like Chelsea or Plymouth again.
We’ve seen over and over again that when things are changed up too much the team suffers above and beyond whatever supposed differences in individual quality there are. I’d rather that not happen. I’d rather we not hang Chiesa out to dry (as an example) by playing him with Quansah when we could be playing him with Bradley or Alexander-Arnold instead. Or to put it a different way, if we could play Bradley for all the remaining minutes this season without jeopardising his future fitness, I wouldn’t give Alexander-Arnold a second thought in terms of playing time.
Also, Salah’s 30/20 season.
Yes
You really are making a mountain out of a mole hill with that one. It’s highly unlikely a target is going to turn down a move that’s likely to be highly lucrative to him and his family because Alexander Arnold got booed for fucking up his relationship with his extended family, to put it that way. There is very little correlation to the meaning he had to Club and fans than, Gakpo let’s say (no offense to Cody, love him to bits and think he’s great and so does everyone else).
Besides, Liverpool don’t give a fuck what the outside world thinks.
He’s reached a point where only he can ‘see’ what is happening correctly. Likely you can watch it 100 times and still come to the same conclusion and he will tell you that you’re wrong because, well, you have to be told how to view things remember.
