Trent Alexander-Arnold (RB) Real Madrid

Or he could crock Mbappe and Sid Vicious in training.

I’ve no doubt hell be a success, but if he were to leave in a year or 2 it won’t be back to us.

And we say, no thanks

I have a channel called Premier League TV included in my SP subscription and I would like to know what is the source of content because it is “unmarked” - is it Sky or someone else? Owen, Given and Martin O’Neill were the commentators in the studio if that’s of any help.

I’m asking because they kept milking TAA’s departure as it was Stevie or Kenny leaving the club. At one point, Van Dijk was giving his big speech but the camera kept showing TAA and they were looking for every semblance of emotion from his end. Pathetic, really.

Every time in the past week when I get on TAN, I’m surprised to see this thread still open…

There is still the random Huff and Puff here in the thread where certain people needs to show their dominance, but it is improving now that it is over. Since there were no boos on the last game, there is not much more to say for those who had a lot to say (I would fucking hope). A bonfire can only burn for so long when not fueled, after all.

Good luck in life, Trent (but not at Real Madrid)!

I dont like that tbh, again too much attention on his tears etc imo. This should be a celebration.

It is a celebration. You posted a video with a certain ( badly constructed, in my view) caption on it. It doesn’t really show anything dramatic at all, but a normal celebration. No need for the drama caption.

Sometimes we do have to go out there to realise all the good things we already have. I am sure he will appreciate this new adventure, for good or for bad. He has given us his all, even if his all is flawed but still being one of the best RB in the world, a defender who had more assists than some playmakers do, winning everything he could in club football, thanks for the 2 decades.

Interesting seeing Fowler talking about something very similar, he said he had become a little blaise about life with LFC and it took him going somewhere else then returning to realise just how special Liverpool and the fans are and what playing for us means more.

Trent has spent his whole life in Liverpool, it makes sense that he’d want to broaden his horizons. He seems to have stagnated a bit in his professional development, and I can see how moving on could help him grow as a player. Real Madrid is obviously a club of enormous size and ambition. I don’t blame him for wanting to go.

I don’t know if it’ll work out for him, though. He’s been coddled in red in a way that he won’t be playing for RM. His defensive failings will be under an enormous microscope without the backing of the supporters. He will be far outside of his comfort zone.

I’ve always believed that the most personal and professional growth comes from being placed in uncomfortable situations and learning how to thrive within them. Perhaps Trent will learn to thrive. Perhaps he’ll find himself on the outside of the squad looking in this time next year, angling for a return back. We shall see. But I’ll credit him for making the tough choice and accepting the challenge, even if I am disappointed in the decision and its timing.

I wish him the best, except against us.

Can you not give it a f**king rest?

The hypocrisy you have to be so angry at people for booing someone whilst at the same time calling people scum and cunts is ridiculous.

It was 4 days ago, this thread had calmed down already, yet you felt the need to throw it back in there?

I’m just reading it now.

Been about 19 years since I first registered with the TIA forums.

It’s people like this that stopped me from logging into here as often.

And I’m pretty certain he was calling fans scum and cunts a lot longer than 4 days after the Arsenal game.

Perhaps it would do you good to read through the whole thing and not react unnecessarily. You don’t have to react to everything, you know.

I said, the post you were replying to was 4 days ago now. I disagree with what he said, but again, the entire thread has cooled off now. Let’s not start it up again, shall we?

If only more people would remember that.

I’m making a general point to everyone.

Too many people are unable to just walk away these days. Of course, it’s down to neoliberalism…

Not react unnecessarily?

If I can’t point out both the hypocrisy and the simple fact that snide comments that same poster had been making for a while now in this thread go well beyond what I would classify as normal talk you’d hear down at the pub then when is it necessary?

Calling people scum and cunts is completely uncalled for and isn’t the sort of thing I’d like to be reading on any Liverpool site.

Yes, because he’s been called out on it over and over again.

I agree it’s uncalled for, but the dust has settled, and what you’re doing is kicking it up all over again.
