His attitude seems to have changed since his move to Madrid, went to the wrong club
Slowly turning into the Galaticos which also was a period where it was what they signed not what they did.
He’s probably leaving.
Nothing wrong for him to have personal ambitions. It’s just like if Robertson are to say he wants to win the World cup with Scotland.
Equating a Scotchman’s hypothetical desire to win the World Cup with Trent’s desire to win a Ballon d’Or is the sort of quality content that keeps me returning to TAN. Feck off, Jockie!
He’s not going to win the Golden Balloon at RM.
He’ll have a couple of good games then he’ll be skinned by a couple of wingers, his team mates will freeze him out, he’ll be left to train with the reserves and he’ll be sold to Villa for peanuts.
And he’ll never learn Spanish.
He’ll sell a good amount of shirts on the way, though. Nothing the Madridista like better than hyping a player to the sun then whining when his waxen wings melt.
Looks like Madrid might have bigger issues than Trent right now.
The most eloquent post this year.
We should just leave it there.
Bravo
Except it should be “number”, not “amount”. Countable noun, you see.
We are commenting on the poetry of the post, not the structure.
Sometimes beauty defies construct.
Fuck sake, he’s said it again!
What’s that, like the fourth time in the last day? Give it a rest, mate, we heard you the first time!
What is ironic… Each time he states that, is he not pointing out the obvious - as in, Why are people not saying he is the greatest fullback NOW.! He is mid-twenties after all.
Yeah, it’s a bit embarrassing to be honest.
Trent wants to be the greatest Right Back of all time.
Good luck to him. He won’t win the Balon d’or though. Not from Right Back. In 19/20 Van Dijk was the best football player on the planet by a country mile, and he still didn’t win it. The award is reserved exclusively for lads who score loads of goals.
The trouble with being right back though is that there isn’t any kind of consensus about what a full back does. For example Gary Neville thinks Trent should be primarily a defender, and get a nose bleed when he crosses the half way line.
And that’s just the trouble with being a right-back, which doesn’t quite cover what he’s been doing for us over the past few years.
The underlying message in his claims, is he also knows he won’t win a sausage, never mind balloon d’or from full back, but he may have a better chance playing in midfield…! That is the position he could well be demanding, he gets played in, yet he is still announced as a full back… could also be in the contract that RM are wafting in front of him…!
Ffs have you heard that Trent wants to win the balloon dor…what the fuck.
Bbc.co.uk confirms.
Honestly though, it makes me wonder about his ego.
Does Trent think he is the most important player in our squad? Let’s start with that before talking about the Ballon d’Or.
