I’d have thought he’d agree to everything in the meeting and then tell Johnson something completely different quoting that he once took a short drive to Scotland to test his eyesight.
GDP-RRRRRRR
lol
More criminality?
Good to see the leader of the opposition supporting Britishness. Great stuff, good idea. Solid.
Guido Fawkes is a cunt, and nobody should pay him any attention.
Meanwhile, it’s all going swimmingly.
Even cunts can show us the truth sometimes.
But when he posts video footage of the labour leader admitting that he wanted to disband the monarchy we should ignore him? Who’s the cunt? The person sharing the video or the shattering hypocrite in the video?
Is he not allowed an opinion on the monarchy? It wouldn’t bother me if they all packed up and left either.
Its more to do with his change of tack now it will get him more votes.
Nothing new in politicians.
I have a sincere question to ask about the UK Monarchy. No disrespect meant whatsoever, just trying to understand what people in the UK think.
In Thailand, the Monarchy is seen almost as semi divine, untouchable etc (even with the current demonstrations against them, they are still a very strong force in the country’s politics).
How does the people in UK see their monarchy considering they too have not much (??) political power and I supposed, unlike the Thai Monarchy where royalists see them as some sort of figurehead, do you all see the UK Monarchy this way? Would the Monarchy be abolised in this lifetime, you all think?
Probably have to make it 3 months. I think it is 90 days max stay over here now.
Personally I think Queeny has been absolutely brilliant. Once she leaves, pass it onto William. Aside from the incredible numbers that normally flock to England because of her and all the pageantry, she does actually hold ultimate power here. A good safety net incase a mad government get in.
Yes we should ignore him.
For the record, I do think it’s hypocritical of Starmer to play the patriotism card. It’s not a look that I think is becoming a leader of the Labour Party.
But this lying, manipulative ghoul doesn’t get to crow about it. He’s been largely silent through years of Conservative moral failures. The Sun could pull a devastating bit of investigative journalism out of its arse, but it doesn’t make me forget it’s the fucking Sun.
And without wanting to do the whataboutism thing, if I’m going to be angry about pandering to the public to court votes, I’d sooner focus on the occupant of number 10, who’s refusal to risk offending people has literally cost thousands of lives. The Starmer thing is small fry compared to the scale of Tory corruption through the last decade.
Well, if Labour had have been anything but bloody awful over the last 20 years, there’s have been a credible alternative. But as you say, that’s just whataboutism.
If the scum discovered that Boris had a £2k a day coke habit and spent the weekends shooting childten, I don’t think you’d be too bothered about the source.
I think it’s a national embarrassment. A nation that wants to be taken seriously on the world stage should not have an unelected anointed figure as head of state. In the words of Doug Stanhope: You actually have a queen! What Else have you got? Wizards? Fairies?
Ultimately, for better or ill, power should reside with the people. The idea that the Monarchy is a safeguard against a mad government is only sound of your monarch is sane. That bloodline doesn’t exactly have a sparkling entry in the sanity ledger. Your next head of state is a staunch advocate of homeopathy, for example.
So I would abolish the monarchy. It’s fucking childish. This is nothing against the Queen by the way, who I think is generally alright. But as soon as she is gone I reckon the argument for abolition grows. I think the public is something like 60/40 in favour. I can’t see that continuing with Charles.
I may be a recent arrival, but I intend to live in the UK for the rest of my life, and if a vote came up I would 100% get rid of it.
The history will always be there. The entire system of undeserved inequality the monarchy props up should not.
It’s a bit of a moot point, isn’t it? Boris is a lying, elitist, lazy, philandering, irresponsible, incapable and reckless leader. A character that would unsuited to office at the best of times, but during the pandemic has led to a catastrophic death toll. He doesn’t need a 2k a day coke habit or fondness for shooting children - he’s is already behaving in a way that should see him removed from office. There is a staunch refusal in the right wing press to hold him to account for these failures. The shooting children thing a bit of classic ptt hyperbole, but Let’s say it was discovered he had a coke habit. Do you honestly think the Sun would cover it?
Guido Fawkes has proved to be a manipulative, biased and unreliable news source. He has forsaken any pretence he had to be an actual journalist. He is a right wing attack dog. Nothing more than that. His rantings about the left have little validity.
