Yeah. Everyone that needs to highlight the utter disaster that it is proving to be. Yes there’s a huge onus on Labour but in Wales Plaid also need to up the messaging.
Big problem for Labour is that many of their supporters swallowed the BS that was spread in the press. Hartlepool was a perfect example of what happens when they don’t get it right and alienate their core support. So Labour need to be careful but others can let rip as far as I’m concerned.
I’d be asking where the £350m per week is for starters. Play dirty
Hmm
In reality to most people in the world that flag is the flag of England.

That flag has unpleasant associations for many people in the world.
In any case, there are much more important issues than flags.

Exactly. I thought the broadcaster/organizers have messed up when I saw the England Flag during 1986 world cup.

Silly question perhaps but if it happened would England change is flag? The flag debate in NZ and Aus is always strong and this could be the catalyst for change there.
Edinburgh castle is better than the Stone Henge.
Oh sorry wrong thread.

That is a silly question. Why would England change its flag?!
I rest my case.
I think change to the UK is coming in some form or other but I couldn’t say when or how. The longer Johnson stays the more likely it becomes IMO.
Northern Ireland will be another to watch closely I think.
You mean the UK? Probably, yes.
As Kopstar said, England has no reason to change it’s flag.
Except that the traditional flag of the Englisċ was the White Wyvern.
The flag of St. George was a medieval (French-Norman) innovation.

Wales’ legal standing has varied over the centuries , but at the time of the acts of unions in 1707 when the crown of England and Scotland merged, Wales was considered wholly part of England and so was not considered for separate recognition on the new country’s flag.
Nice, let’s go back to the Wyvern!
You have to admit, she’s a fine looking beast…
Why would England need to change the St. Georges Cross?
Or do you mean the Union Jack which is for the flag of the UK?
Such a symbol would not go down well with the Minister for flags given that legend has it the White Dragon symbolised the Saxons while the Red Dragon symbolised the people that would ultimately become the Welsh.
The dragons fought and the Red Dragon was victorious.
This is legend and therefore under the terms of language that purvey football forums must be true.
Personally I think it should be accepted as fact (because it is), taught in all schools, statues erected everywhere to recognise the defeat of the white dragon.

All the more reason for re-instating it as the national flag of the Englisċ!
Edit: being pedantic, shouldn’t it be Y Ddraig Goch?

This appears to have slipped beneath the radar:
Visiting a Scottish wind farm on Thursday, Mr Johnson told reporters: “Thanks to Margaret Thatcher, who closed so many coal mines across the country, we had a big early start and we’re now moving rapidly away from coal altogether.”
He is reported to have laughed and added: “I thought that would get you going.”
If anyone retained any lingering doubts about bozo, this surely has killed them off.
He is just one big fat idle ugly wart, a great fat useless spawny eyed parrot faced wazzock.
