During COVID lockdowns, unleaded fuel dropped to just over Ā£1 per litre. It was 50p a litre in 1993. Now itās hovering around Ā£1.65 with diesel at Ā£1.80

Heating oil used to hover around the 45p to 50p per litre mark pre pandemic. During the pandemic I saw it at 16p for a moment. Best Iāve seen last week was 98p/l.
Another rise in energy prices will come in October. The UK price cap system has actually managed to remove market competition and remove consumer protection against price hikes at the same time. And the standing charge is mental. Weāre paying an increased cost for having the same service connection we did last year.
