WAPO here with their latest polling where they make the claim that Harris is now favourite in November. Just as significant for me is the fact that the bookies also now have her as a short odds on favourite for the first time , and this is probably why ;

From a campaign management point of view, Trump is in trouble. His strategic problem has exploded, where his focus states were six weeks ago were obvious and now without some significant shift the GOP has hard prioritization decisions to make. It makes their decision to do events in states like Montana baffling, that is just 4 electoral college votes and they are safely GOP anyway.

Wasn’t the Montana one already pencilled in before Biden quit ? I think they probably saw it more as something like a victory lap at the time.
