The tax on unrealized gains will be a difficult one to pull off without big backlash, but as with most of these policy statements, the devil will be in the details.
Especially with the way these guys use the value in their equity to turn it spendable money it seems like a worthwhile endeavor to explore. If they think they have an approach to make it work, and this isnt know nothings down the pub coming up with ideas, then itās worth taking a serious look at.

The tax thing will get some blowback, but as Limie said, the devil is in the details.
Generally speaking, we have been in a lengthy political cycle where tax cuts for the rich are met with a shoulder shrug, as the deficit piles on more trillions, while a little help for the poor has tended to be met with overblown scrutiny and outrage.
It needs some course correction, but the Dems should tread carefully as this could be a legitimate ideological thing to give their opponent a foothold. Iām not saying donāt do it, just be careful.
