I assume they’ll appeal this until it ends up with the Project 2025 justices presiding over the Supreme Court?

This is very good news for Kamala. High turnout is good for democrats.
In less than 1 day of early voting, GA has surpassed 5% of its total 2020 turnout.
I don’t know that overall high turnout is good for Dems anymore, even acknowloedging Biden 2020, as so much has changed since that was the conventional wisdom. I’d maybe buy that high early voting is a good sign, but I wouldnt put much money on it.
Trump’s base is fervent, but he is not gaining many voters, if any at all. His numbers have remained pretty static in the 46-47% range. Dems win the popular vote every election now, adding more voters would logically be beneficial to the side getting more votes.
Also, after Kamala became the nominee, there was a large increase in voter registrations, in the hundreds of thousands. Those registrations were breaking over 70% democratic. I am all for a huge turnout.
So, day one? What’s the average duration here till we get to the finish? Uhhhhh three weeks! The pond scum will be content I guess…
One word counterpoint: Insurrection.
Lets fucking hope so!
“No one died”
Pathetic self-serving weirdo
Is this ‘the weave’?
First signs of dementia? It’s been a good 250 year innings, to be fair.
Honestly, forget about who they vote for, I’d always prefer a high turnout to a low one, simply because you can’t claim that democracy isn’t working if you don’t even participate.
It doesn’t count if it failed.
Free Ryan Routh!
But a lot of the audience were booing. A lot of people over here think that January 6th was staged. The fact people died…
Look, they were obviously paid actors/AI. Just like Sandy Hook!
And it has been universally hailed on the MAGA right as a masterful performance that shamed one of the elite who was responsible for ruining the country.
There are lots of critiques of the Harris campaign based on its failure to make inroads into Trump’s support - he is so bad so the persistence of his support must be due to her campaign. But it’s a perspective based on simply not accepting how much of an alternate universe a good 45% of our voting population live in
But for anyone who isn’t part of the cult, it was a train wreck. He was asked about economic policy by economists and he didn’t have a clue. Ended up petulantly pouting like a child.
Those who will decide the election are the few undecided voters and those who may or may not vote. He won’t have helped himself with either.
It was, but where are these people hearing about this reality? The main stream press with very few exceptions continue to cover appearances like this with a straight bat. He was fiesty. It was contentious. He defended tariffs. There are of course the partisan outlets and the occasional non-traditional “news” outlets covering it in what I would say correctly reflects what happened (how is it possible that Rolling Stone can cover this with more clarity than the NYT?), but the way the information environment works means this sort of coverage will be only a tiny % of what these voters see about the appearance. When most of that coverage is from obviously partisan outlets (just because they are partisan doesnt mean they are wrong) the inclination of these voters who havent already disqualified Trump will be to assume the negative coverage is “biased” or “Trump Derangement Sydrome” and walk away completely unaffected by it
