Before 2016 this would be an off the charts scandal being pulled apart from many angles, not the least from the main stream press who always respond more intensely when it impacts one of their own. There has been barely a whimper from them. Trump has just profoundly broken us.

The size of the 2020 vs 2024 gap should be more concerning than anything else. Even if its wrong, its unlikely to be wrong by such a large margin.

The issue is Trump may be suggesting Putin not only free Gershkovich as a favor to Trump, but also not free Gershkovich until after the election.

Why the election continues to be so close cannot be understood without acknowledging that all of the outrage, condemnation of him, and the commitment people and corporations had to turning their back on Trump after Jan 6th as piece by piece ebbed away and been forgotten only to be replaced by rich fucks being enticed by tax cuts

Something that would be interesting to track, and might be more reliable than polls. There has already been a self confessed wealthy democrat that has just donated 250k.
Trump has recently been chipping away at Bidens significant lead in their respective war chests.
You should take the āI used to be a democrat but nowā¦ā posts with an enormous grain of salt. That said, Silicon Valley does seem to have moved fairly decisively and vocally from being Hillary Democrats to MAGA.
Billionaires arenāt really good barometers of public support. They all give to both sides.
Politics doesnāt really affect them, afterall.
