Yes there are. The premiums are massive!
Out of curiosityā¦has anyone spotted Virg just latelyā¦I thought heād been to games.
He probably just got operated and maybe he wouldnāt want to attract focus on himself anyway. All understandable. He needs some peace now.
Good news! Virgil will be back stronger.
Virgil has had his surgery;

Virgil van Dijk has undergone surgery on the knee ligament injury he sustained earlier this month.
The Liverpool defenderās planned operation took place in London and was conducted successfully.
Van Dijk will now immediately focus on the beginning of his rehabilitation with the support of the Redsā medical department.
No timeframe has been placed on the Dutchmanās return to action.
Now comes the hardest part for the big man.
The recovery begins. Good luck big man. We will b waiting for u. YNWA
Best of luck Big Virg
See you soon
7 months is the absolute minimum when all went well from the beginning.
Virgil is a giant of a manā¦ hope that works in his favourā¦!
Ready for next season sounds like safest option for longer term benefitsā¦ As long as the medical team can get him propped up enough to take a place on the bench of the Champions League final in order to join in the celebrations at the end of the game
Sometimes shit happens for a reason.
This giant of a man, in more ways than physical structure, will be burning inside, if we can push on this year and win some silverware, imagine the motivation from the big fella to be a part of it the following season?
Imagine his indignation and being thought of as just a cog in the machine? A link in the chain?
I mean this in a positive way, but for all the talk of after our champions league win of how you keep the āfire burningā how you keep wanting to āclimb the mountainā
Two massive negatives might have positive motivators ā¦
1.As a team, the desire to want to celebrate āthat momentā with a full crowd.
- As an individual, the desire to prove who he is, to this team and league, all over again.
Thanks for posting this, Dutch. Between listening to this physio and the well written piece from NY Times on Gundoganās recovery, it makes me sad for Virgil. I know itās important to stay positive but thereās also a very large human component to all of this. Robbed of an entire year of his brilliant career in addition to 9 months of grueling physical and mental rehabilitationā¦all as a result of one moment of reckless and careless action of an inferior opponent.
Get well soon, Big Man. Always in our thoughts. You have a legion of supporters with you on every step of the way.
How nice of Gareth Southgate to contact Pickford after the incident with VVD, to offer him his support. Thatās right, offering support to Pickford after he committed GBH on Virgil, putting him out of the game for 12 months or worse, possibly ending his career. He couldnāt bring himself to phone Virgil, could he, to offer him some support. But Iām afraid thatās fairly typical of this country, the victim gets forgotten, while an army of people rally round the offender.
Virgil is not his player.
Regardless of the challenge by Pickford and how angry it makes us, no footballer should suffer from death threats and feel unsafe in their own home.
Fair play to Southgate. Iām confident that the Frank de Boer has been in touch with Virgil.
Iām sure the players will show Everton who they are through the season as the points gap increases and come Jan Everton are wondering if they can finish in the Thursday night slots.
Edit - Pickfordās still a small armed shit cunt.
A bloke who is famous for missing a penalty and doing a stupid fucking pizza ad is manager of England,heās a wooden dickhead but he couldnāt inspire fuck all let alone Pickford, only arm and brain surgery could help Pickford.
Might not be his official remit, but if heās gone to the trouble of nursing his player, itās not a stretch for him to equalise his concern.
He is the English manager, it wouldnāt mean betraying his player, but it would be a great gesture.
Probably not that big a deal, wonāt help VVD recovery for a second, but, yknow, it would be a very dignified thing to do
Some of the comments are disgusting.
People are weird.
A year ago, Germany faced the Netherlands and Van Dijk made a very nice gesture.
The referee of Germany-Netherlands Ovidiu Hategan had just lost his mother a few days before the match and could not hold back his tears at the end of the match.
Virgil Van Dijk came to him and consoled him. Beautiful image
