The explanation of having players ahead of him, which is nothing new? Endo knows where the manager’s office is, do we think that they don’t talk? In more detail than Slot’s comments in press-conferences? Would Endo still be after last season if the sitaution was so bad?
First, we don’t know if and how much they talk.
Second, imagine being a player and hearing your manager publicly proclaiming that the guy in front of you is better and that unless he’s injured, you are not playing.
It’s poor man management at best.

Exactly.
Beyond anything else, such as skill and any other factor that some people rate him on, how would any pkayer feel about that? Look how quick we moan to see others just happy to collect a salary, sitting on the bench, stealing a living, but when someone who always gives full effort cannot break into an underperforming team, they will have to wonder why.

That is my point from the start, we don’t know. And in last weeks there’s so much talk about Slot’s man management (and then compared to Klopp’s) that it seems this forum has inside Kirkby access 24/7.
You have the quotes above what he said, whether he says it’s because of competition or specifically names a player like Gravenberch, does that make a big difference? He doesn’t even have to say anything, minutes played tell the truth.
Endo had the same squad role last season and I didn’t see if affected him whenever called upon. In terms of approach, that is. Level of performance is something else.
In general, will Slot have to prove he can use more players than he did last season and what’s our collective level like when he “has to” rotate around half a team or more, of course. That never stops, it was even a topic for Pep post-Leverkusen with the amount of changes he made.
Why would anyone need 24/7 access to Kirkby to give their opinion on things that are happening in public?

When I hear comments like Slot is unable to motivate certain players like Klopp did, I wonder what’s our real knowledge about these things. “Klopp motivated Shaqiri” and what, “Slot demotivates Endo”?
Some stories from different sides come out with time, years later. Recenty, Ox gave a bit of insight into how Klopp acted with him or players coming back from injuries. Following now in real time, it’s impossible to know enough about these things.
Maybe you can do it with some players, because I don’t see Endo being troubled by it. How does he train? I have no idea. I guess he trains well, that’s what some said. Was it different for someone like Elliott, who left and Slot used to say he’s got big competition in his positions? Possibly.
Usually, player quality prevails.
People are having their best guess based on the information available to them, which is not an insignificant amount.
It’s fine not to be privy to every single exchange to give an opinion on this stuff.

This has to be another season ending injury. He’ll probably miss the World Cup as well. It could have hardly happened to a nicer player, and that on his first start in ages.

I had an ankle sprain like this. Spent another 5 minutes was walking on it and then suddenly.
Never played footie again but that’s not because of that but it was the start of a load of bad injuries from PCL to heart and so on.

Fuck me didn’t realise ankle sprain could lead to so many complications, I’d better take more care next time I sprain an ankle 
I did wonder why I rambled. Anyhow lad will probably be out for the season if he any damage to the ligaments like I did. I was about right 4 months later.

Thought it was really daft he was allowed to carry on. Showed great heart and all but could easily have ended up costing us.

I was making my debut for a team, came on 2nd half. Walked on the pitch, we had a free kick so I immediately went over to take it. Struck the ball, planted my foot back on the ground heard a loud crunch. Was fine for about 5 seconds then went down in a heap of pain.
Broken ankle from a non-contact injury after kicking a ball about 15 seconds into my debut 
That was the last time I played in an organized 11v11 game!
Although I think Endo has a bit more motivation to get back on the pitch than I did.

It appears his injury is to his foot which is a relief as I was concerned it was the knee.
Hopefully not to a long recovery
