He really said that:joy::+1:

Also, is it true, Messi told him to go to Liverpool?

Wishing you all the best in your career here.

I doubt it’s that. Between Maradona and Messi, it’s likely most Argentinian kids for the last 3 or 4 decades have grown up wanting to play as number 10.

I don’t think we will see Alexis playing deeper in our midfield and I actually think his arrival makes the ā€˜box’ more likely. He and Jones are both capable of playing through balls and he’s definitely more forward thinking.

He not a relentless hard working midfielder, he’s not lazy but he’s not a proper 8 either. If the three midfielders we have been linked are correct then tactically I think you have Jones or Mac Allister partnered with Thuram or Henderson with Trent and Fabinho or Kone behind them.

Naieve. He’d probably have collided with Naby in pre season, been out until May and would have missed the World Cup. :wink:

A blade of grass collided with Naby and came off best.

I think @Walshy07 was using the interview equivalent of poetic license. :sweat_smile:

After saying that,

Hes already a legend in my opinion!

These quotes are clearly not true people. Come on :joy:

There are some gullible people around.

You’d expect that from Brighton fans, but not sophisticated types like us.

Lovely, lovely.

Not necessarily a glamour puss, but exactly the sort of signing we needed, and he comes across a focused, intelligent lad from a proper football family.

Here’s a nice article with Carlos from around the World Cup;
