Welcome to Liverpool, Andoni Iraola!

Bit bad that he didn’t give Count Binface a selfie.

That would be great, I loved it at the time! But since fsg came in, we haven’t done that I think? There was always one of these tours, either in the US or in the Far East.

Think we’ve been there twice with Klopp.

Yeah, 2023: vs Leicester City and Bayern Munich.
2022: vs Man U and Crystal Palace.
Plus 2017: vs Crystal Palace and Leicester City.

Edit. I thought you were refering to the Far East, hence my answer above..

Gomez? The guy can’t stay fit but they want to make him C/VC. Let me guess, his personality in the dressing room makes him a leader.

He’s the longest serving current player having joined in 2015 so a senior member of the squad even if he doesn’t play that often due to injuries

Given our repeated injury woes it’s probably good to have a leader regularly in the physio room. Someone who has been there, had every injury going and come back from them all only to get another niggle a couple weeks later.

There’s so much the likes of Bajcetic, Bradley, Leoni and Ekitike will be able to learn from a more experienced head.

Yeah. Club captain is a different thing than being captain of the team on match day.

Iraola wants them to feel valued; he acknowledges their experience and wants them to pass on their leadership qualities within the club. What is so hard to understand about that?

It’s the right choices. Well done Iraola. He has also said we should have a team filled with leaders, with all of them taking responsibility, that sort of thing.

Enjoyed the interview with Carra, enjoy listening to Andoni.

Andoni Iraola has warned the Premier League not to underestimate his Liverpool side this coming season:

“Yes, I can feel a little bit [that people underestimate us], because of the questions you ask me. We have to value the good players we have. Sometimes the players are here for three or four seasons and we are not aware how good some of our players are. I know this is the situation.”

“The market is not closed, still we have more time to add players.”

“Probably we have the advantage that I am not new and I value a lot of the players I have here. I can tell you that I am very confident in terms of the quality of the players I have.

@Thomas1195, I think he is talking to you and @Walshy07
