Thank you so much. Despite considerable challenges and hazards, we are all safe and well.

Sign me up. Snowboard ready and I’m having no luck finding an Aircon unit.

Yeah its a joke, almost as bad as when they tell us every year there is a Christmas tree shortage🤣

And the ones you can find offer delivery in about 6 weeks time

Don’t you have Amazon in Wales?

They’re all sold out or have gone up Ā£500.

It’s the pandemic loo roll saga all over again.

I’ll wait. We’re not too bad now.

Turns out you and I have something in common yet again. We’re both worried about our mums right now. Mine has been in Whiston hospital for nearly two weeks with a heart problem and associated trouble.

Feeling rather helpless at the moment, being so far away.

Yeah, the distance makes things very difficult. Do you have siblings in the UK?
My brother lives about 1 minute from my Mum’s house and about 5 mins drive from the nursing home. He bears the burden and I feel guilty, but it’s just how our lives diverged, and the same thing happens in a lot of families.

I hope your mum recovers quickly and can go home again soon.

Cheers. Yes, I have two sisters back home who are taking care of mum, and yes you do feel guilty.

Anyway, back to the footy.

Our apartment is full of blokes packing up our stuff to send to Australia. The missus is running around giving them unwanted instructions.
It’s chaos and I’m hiding in a corner.

I am watching the comedy-drama ’ One Night in Istanbul’ with my housemate.

Even though she is a gooner, she loved the film, laughing out loud. I am seeing after many years. It was great seeing Robbie Fowler in it. Paul Barber was excellent in it. The acoustic version of ā€˜The Fields of Anfield Road’ was beautiful
I am not sure if it was the first it was sung. I know the recorded version was done by the band Cast.

Where did you watch it? I just looked across the streaming services and it doesn’t appear to be available in Germany.

I watched it from my dvd player. I have this dvd from my collection.

Ah, OK. That looks like the only way I can get it.

Red Whipper wants to borrow your dvd M

I can send it in the post @RedWhippet if you like :slightly_smiling_face:

It is kind a cheesy but in a good way. There is a funny dream dance sequence where is with this beautiful mysterious turkish lady and the Big Ears and he has to choose which one he wants?

The Liverpool songs on Istanbul are fabulous, never heard of them before.

Samantha Janus is in it too. She is funny too.

I’m pretty sure I posted this video at some point—so it must still be somewhere among the videos—but it was ages ago. I still remember how amazed I was when I realized it was a comedy version I hadn’t known about at all before.
