AFL is Neanderthal. Such an odd activity that doesn’t deserve its coverage where their ‘all Australian’ teams even get beaten by Irish amateurs.

AFL the sport is actually a really interesting code and those boys are fucking tough.
to call some of the stuff they do ‘neanderthal’ is poor form.
unfortunately the codes proffessionalism is a bit behind soccer, its still a boys club, though it is trying to correct itself, there are some role models there to be proud of.

Yeah, nah. AFL can get to fuck. Cf Rugby which is played by many countries, it’s kinda like NFL where it’s a big fish in a tiny pond. Crappy quality and tactics like ‘flooding’ by the swans 20ish years ago seen as mind blowing. It’s incredibly Neanderthal in terms of sophistication and just doesn’t deserve the ridiculous focus it gets.

its certainly not as interesting to me as the real football, but theres substance to the game. maybe it is only played in our country, but thats hardly evidence its a terrible code.

What the hell have the BBC done with Breakfast graphics. It is horrific. I have had to turn off…it was making me feel queasy…
Designed at huge license payers cost by some trendy design company no doubt…ugh.
I might start an old codgers moaning thread for posts like this above. I’m sure it’d be popular and I would have plenty to contribute.
