Until you find the fish dish next door tastes familiar

Yup finding that out now. Ear imbalance, own voice sounding weird in one ear. Headaches, extreme sleepiness even after a full nightās sleep.
Today is the first day (after one week) things are starting to feel normal. Even then Iāve had a couple of dizzy spells today.
Well thatās shit. Iām in A&E after I was hit off my bike last night. Painful lumbar and a heap of road rash. CT scan all clear regarding injuries thankfully but⦠Thereās always a but
The CT scan found an aneurysm on an artery. So thatās being referred.
My bike is scrap and a whole new health challenge to get into.
Rough night. Morphine makes me feel ill, I am really sore but somehow no broken bones. Estimate at the time was the two vehicles involved were doing at least 50mph. I think I was airborne for 5-10m and skidded for another 10m.
Thatās terrible, hopefully the aneurysm can be treated conservatively and the bike replacement becomes your main concern; although Iām guessing watching more of this seasons dross next year would not be what your doctors would recommend for your BP.
Hope itās all ok, two years since my heart issue, turned out there was an irregular heart beat but only triggered at high pressure.
SHIT!! @Noo_Noo so relieved you are in one piece but worried about the other symptoms. Please take care of yourself and plenty of rest. Donāt rush into anything.
Doing 50?! Jesus!!!
Thank you all. Some more details this morning. I was hit by a van trying to overtake a car. He ended up taking both of us out at 50mph. I ended up 20m down the road, in the verge next to a tmangledv pile that was my bike and looking back at car debris strewn all over the road. I donāt know how I am in one piece. I was airborne for 10m I think.
Overheard itās not an aneurysm this morning but something else. Still an issue.
I hurt, but Iām also pissed off now. I was making progress on the bike and enjoying it. Thatās stalled and I donāt know for how long until I know more on this artery issue.
So sorry to read this, mate. Stay safe, and take the time to fully recover from this. All my best wishes, stay strong!

All the best for your recovery as well, mate! ![]()
Fucking hell! Hate to see a fellow cyclist and fellow red have a crash like that. Puts my accident in perspective.
Really sorry it happened, but thank fuck it wasnāt worse! Itās horrible now, and the next few weeks will be hard, but time does heal.
Wish you all the best ![]()
I know this is easy to say and hard to internalise. Yours is far worse than anything Iāve experienced, mine have almost all been football related injuries or illnesses.
Setbacks will happen. Thatās just how life is. I used to get angry and upset at myself for these. But that just takes away the energy you need to heal.
If you can at all, distract yourself with other things, maybe watch shows or read books youāve been putting off, for example.
You WILL get better and you WILL ride again and better than ever.
Thank you mate, today my inner ear fluids are rebalancing and Iām mostly falling over to my left ![]()

Thank goodness thereās no match at Anfield I need to go to this weekend ![]()
Biscuit. I am arranging a burial site up here on this hill, for one of us shall die ![]()
On the other hand, maybe you were lucky in a roundabout way given what else was discovered.
Wishing you the best !
I take it that you are aware of the Jaffa Cake tax case?
Not really.
But those are ākjeksā aka biscuits. Problematically, the Norwegian word smĆ„kaker (little or tiny cookies) also applies, but at least we must strive to seperate these biscuits from proper cakes or the world will end, I tell you !
wishing you a quick recovery @Noo_Noo
as magnus said, maybe its going to be a blessing in disguise? as hard as that is to accept
Speedy recovery mate.
Hope youāre on the mend soon. ![]()
