Grandkids are in residence for 3 weeks but not sure if I will get away with this again. 5 minutes of respite while they wait for Disney to come on.

Mum has been admitted to hospital but my dad’s putting a positive spin on it.

Some tech advice please.
Fibre up & running, 300 mbps to phones & tablets.
Was guaranteed 450 mbps, but happy with what I’m getting.

However, only 40 mbps to my laptop, and no way of checking the speed to my smart TV.

Several calls from Vodafone and speed to laptop not resolved.

Firestick working fine for now, but want this resolved for future use when Sky binned.

Any ideas why speed would be so varied to different devices?

Is the laptop in the same place as the phones or further away from the router? Usually if it’s only one device out of many having an issue they won’t really troubleshoot this for you I think?

Yes both in same room.
So far I’ve told them its all devices being slow so they dig deeper
