Can I borrow £10-£20?
I think my brother sent £50 for my elsest son’s 18th. It’s usually about £30 for a kids birthday. We have a “no presents for adults” rule in the family.
Well. Yes but I managed to smuggle some rum in too. Got out at a halt and bought it . That mixed with some coke helped more.
I went to see the physio yesterday after struggling with my left knee for some time. After a scan he showed me how my left knee tendinopathy had caused the tissue around my kneecap to be much thicker than the one on my right and that there was bleeding going on in the area. Had some painful shockwave therapy and am starting on rehab work today. At least I know what the problem is having suffered through it for the last six months. He also told me I need to lose weight to take pressure off my knees, which was the most helpful thing I could’ve heard because I’ve been struggling with staying off unhealthy foods. Now I can immediately relate the unhealthy stuff to the reason my knee not to healing so hopefully that should make things pretty straightforward.
Good luck with that
Thank you mate! Going to the gym now
Be careful, when doing your exercises stop when you feel pain.
I’ve been recovering from a compression fracture in my back. Over did an exercise and aggrevated my right knee. To compensate for the knee weakness and pain I put too much pressure on the outside of my foot ended up with buggered knee and foot (mainly tendonitis, right knee has ancient médial ligament damage and some arthritis).
Exercise bike was good for strengthening the knee however walking became a non no for a good few weeks. Almost 4 weeks lost all together.
My physio explained the knee problem.
Walking is very important as it helps ‘stretch’ and loosen. Exercise bike helps muscle strength compensating for tendons etc but tends to stiffen things up.
I should have gone back to crutches probably.
You have much sympathy from me, good luck.
Pfft. I’ve waited for trains that never arrived.
Too damn often thinking about it
Best of luck.
Is it an inflamation related thing?
Damn, you properly been in the wars.
Yep, wasn’t diagnosed by the emergency unit. They insisted it was sciatica. So didn’t get the follow up necessary. Almost a year on now. I’m improving. I just have a tendency to push too hard at times which causes frustration ups and downs.
I haven’t a clue what I’m going to be capable of doing.
I just have to keep pushing on and wait and see. A major problem was not having sufficient care. Having to do most daily stuff myself kept me bogged down as simple things like shopping and cooking knocked me out.
Always talk to health workers about care if you need it. With sufficient care you can concentrate on recovering.
Watching Liverpool helped me immensely.
Take care!
Thicker tissues…I wished I had Penilinopathy
Yikes!! Sorry to hear!
Thanks for the advice, I will keep that in mind for sure. It’s been okay so far today. A little sore but the clinician said it would be after shockwave therapy and exercising with only moderate stress in eccentric positions.
Get well soon @koptician and @Flobs
Watching Eurovision
Boycott!
I should have, i forgot. My head was all over the place with this wretched cold. I only watched from the last 8 countries.
That was almost incredibly awkward
It was very awkward. I had the remote in my hand and was ready to switch off if Austria came second!
How did the British public vote for Israel?
