Hello folks, a rather belated Eid Mubarak. Today was Eid-ul Adha, the Muslim religious festival when sacrifice livestock. There will be loads of meats in the menu in the coming days. Wish the blessings of Eid is endowed upon all of you.
Colonial England claimed all pineapples when they found out it worked with gammon(s).
I disagree on them appearing recently. Ive had them in McDonaldâs in the 90s. That would be the time I was in Singapore. Theyâve been around for quite a bit.
They are an abomination.
Belated Bakrâid wishes to you and your family.
And talking about McDonaldâs and their breakfast. Donât mind their breakfast menu. Much better than their usual tripe.
I meant in the UK.
Donât think McDonaldâs in the 90s was that far evolved to keep regionalised menus. Except perhaps curry sauce for those nuggets (in Singapore).
The globalisation happened much later.
That said , UK might have had a different menu from the get go
I never ever go to McDonaldâs.
It is a place of which I have no knowledge and no wish to discover.
The breakfast items are/were pretty okay.
Be it in India / USA / Dubai
Would always skip the hashbrowns though. They are am abomination.
Been a good few years since Iâve had breakfast at McDonaldâs. Was a thing when I was airport hopping during that career bit of mine.
I think youâll find there are plenty of better options at Singapore airport than that.
Whatâs this thread again? Oh yes, âWhatâs Happening?â, itâs Karneval der Kulturen in Berlin today where multiculturalism is celebrated in a big street parade. Unfortunately, itâs cold and windy and looks like a storm is on the way.
I want to clarify that I did see hashbrown on the menu at McDonaldâs in the 90s in Singapore.
But McDonaldâs breakfast for me was pretty alright. In those places Iâve mentioned before. Better than their regular stuff at any rate.
And I donât like hashbrowns. Itâs just that i feel the need to point out that the breakfast menu at McDonaldâs is alright.
Mac Donaldâs is American.
I never set foot in an Mac Donaldâs until my kids were big enough to survive that toxic stuff (it still caused diarrhea) so about the mid 2000âs. Since then they have never had hashed brownâs on the menu. They started horrible potatoes around 2010, disgusting wedges of potatoes with skin on and some Herby stuff fried then left to go cold. In fact all they did was left to go cold. The way around cold Mac Donaldâs was order something other customers didnât which lucky for me in my area was chicken burger
.
For me it was asking for french fries without salt.
I never thought of that as without salt the french fries are disgusting.
What about the burger?
Surely it had been sitting around getting colder whilst they fried the âfreshâ frites?
Youâve got the sauce on the side to put up for the lack of salt.
Either way , you get fresh âfrozen friesâ.
Ok, letâs sort this one out once and for all.
What do you think of McDonaldâs?
- Itâs a load of crap and I hate that fucking clown
- Itâs basically crap, but the breakfasts are surprisingly good
- Itâs a wonderful place to get a delicious and nourishing meal
Replace good with okay w.r.t breakfasts and weâre fine
D: They are handy when travelling for free WiFi
And this.
