Their coffee is passable. Their muffins are fine. Their pancakes were okay. As was their bacon and egg.

Served me alright in Dubai and other airports when my company was too cheap to pay for the layover hotel accommodation.

Where you are in the world plays a big part I believe. The coffees in Aus are actually decent (Australians are actually pretty demanding when it comes to coffee - they sent Starbuck packing in less than 10 years), UK are on par with the rest of the chain coffee shops, so are an option early in the morning if the others aren’t open.

I do think that McDonald’s in Asia , mid East are more tolerable than the ones in USA. Haven’t been to UK before so wouldn’t know.

But in general , that’s been my experience.

McDonalds, and Greggs coffee is far superior (and half the price) to Starbucks and Costa.
Only time I ever have a Costa is at the petrol station machine on the way to the golf course.
I choose expresso and immediately bin the ticket, then add Americano which i pay for.

Changes in food taste depending where you are in the world is real.
In Baku, McDonalds and KFC are accompanied by the rancid smell of shit on your nostrils, due to the idiots constructing new buildings at an alarming rate, without upgrading the sewage network.
Filthy cunts.

I’ve had Starbucks a couple of times and it was shit.

Once when I really wanted to see what the hype was about and the other at some passing joint between Detroit and Chicago when I had to order it because my friend stopped for it.

Post kidney issue diagnosis I could count on one hand the times I’ve eaten at MacDonalds. On every single occasion I’ve felt ill afterwards. Not serious, just some minor nausea.

I dont know what they put in it but I seriously cant handle it.

And expensive!

I went to Starbucks once with my kids, in Marseille, I always drank coffee so had a coffee :hot_beverage: it was the most disgusting shit of an excuse for a coffee I’d ever had.
I noticed my kids had drinks with sugary stuff and toppings they said it was good
So I forced them to finish my coffee that they all agreed was disgusting even after adding lots of sugar.

My grandson laughs at me…as I have only a vague clue how to order on the big screen at Mc’DS and KFC…to many offers…no counter staff to help…

Luckily my grandson is too young to realise how incompetent I am in this modern world. My kids though are in constant hysterics when we go out. :downcast_face_with_sweat:

Mate of mine said he had sex once in a Starbucks… Well he said he found some lipstick on the rim of his cup, and as he hadn’t any for an awful long time… he said that was equivalent to sex for him :0) - made me laugh anyway

Absolutely. I made a rare Maccas visit the other night with my football team post match. Ladies help me with this goddam screen please I am dying there is no counter staff. The process took infinitely longer than the good old days.

Next time I’m going through the drive thru and then walking in with my food.

And the share price is up over 60% in the last 5 years….some one likes this mob.
