What's happening?

Finally got up to Scotland. Long but pretty uneventful journey, spart from being aliced up by an Ineos W :anchor: wagon at one point.

Which part of Scotland?

Near Edinburgh to start with. We’ll then head up to Fort William area for a few days before coming back to Edinburgh for the last weekend to break up the journey home.

We really like Scotland, and are just crashing our way through things that take our fancy at the moment. I think ( and hope) that we’ll settle on visiting and staying longer in the more spectacular scenery locations with time so we can get some proper hikes in.

I’ve booked us a trip to the Cairngorms next Easter too.

There’s so much good stuff to see and everything between Loch Lomond and Ullapool is fantastic (probably beyond too).
Glencoe is unmissable of course.
Have a great time. I thought you might have taken advantage of the storm for a bit of surfing

It crossed my mind believe me but it was nuts and way above my weight and smallest kites capacity.

Hoping to get some nice images over the next few days

Greetings from the airport on the island of Barra in the Hebrides. The only UK airport that’s on a beach.

Oh yes, Mrs’ favourite part of Scotland, we made many trips there. Ullapool is the furthest north I got though.

I’ve driven from Newcastle across the border (destination Edinburgh). Slept at a very cozy bed and breakfast. Then I went to Loch Lomond the day after, which was nice. Then Edinburgh. I loved that city.
Unfortunately, that’s my only visit to Scotland and it was only for a weekend-trip while I was studying in York.

If you look carefully, you may see the scratches on the terminal building which was me trying to escape. I generally say that I have an aversion to airports rather than flying, but that hideous little deathtrap scared the hell out of me.

Next time I had to go there, the office gave me an extra day so that I could get the ferry.

I understand that fear of flying is a real phobia, and I’d never want to be rude to Mr Whippy, but to describe Barra airport as a ‘deathtrap’ is a little overstated.
As far as I can find out, there has only ever been one crash there, in 1947, which resulted in zero fatalities.
A signed letter of apology to the good people at this charming airport would be greatly appreciated, and would go some way to alleviating the distress caused by this groundless accusation.

The problem with this post is that I want to give an “ok” thumbs up for the first paragraph, but a laughter emoji for the last one.

You complicated bastard ! This means you end up with none; which I am sure will cause at least 2 sleepless nights for you.

I have a friend who is a decent graphic designer, @Bekloppt . He has made some Coats of Arms, and they look good.
I can have him make one for you

Ok, so without his Arse. That’s ok. Small airports and their dignity only then. Works well enough.

I can live with that. I may use it as my avatar.

Haha. I am actually going to ask him today. No promises though, since I am not going to pay him.
Also, to be fair, it would be complicated to design.

I know, you big stirrer. :expressionless_face:
