What's happening?

I am at Newcastle station waiting for my neice, who is coming from Belfast.

It is flipping freezing here, hypothermia level in my view. The Geordies walking around in jackets and the ladies are dressed to the nines outing out. They don’t even feel the cold. One girl was wearing shorts…in this weather.

I am dressed as if going on an expedition to Antartica!!

Friday nights in the north, Maria.
When I lived in Aberdeen the lasses dressed in tinsel when going out in the winter.
I was a lot younger then and managed to get away with Everest mountain gear.
I’m now in the south of France and still have Everest mountain gear.

The lasses are still dressed in sparkly sequins😍 as its Christmas parties all over town. I was called a ‘soft southerner’ by a jolly geordie. They are really lovely and friendly people

My neice had a scare on her flight. 4 people were removed from the flight by the police. There were probems and delay in taking off. There was a software glitch where the plane tried to take off twice and the warning lights kept going on in the cockpit, the plane was very shaky. Then, when the pilot tried to land he had to circulate 25 minutes first. The plane was nearly diverted to an airfield in Edinburgh. She thought this is it ‘we are going to die’. Some passengers were in brace position. The cabin crew were trying to calm everyone down and weather wasn’t great either

Thank God everything was alright in the end. The pilot’s skill managed the safe landing and all the passengers clapped. When the neice saw the pilot, he looked about 12 years old and he was red face and serious. He obviously was abit worried.

What happened to that brand?

It’s still about but Suisse.

I’m not a huge American Football fan, more a casual one, and even less the college game. But going over to a friend’s house in a few to watch IU v Ohio State. Both teams unbeaten. This is for the Big Ten championship. The game is being played at Lucas Oil, home of the Colts.

I’d be a liar if I said I cared about college football, but it’s nice that a couple of friends - Indiana University alumni - REALLY care. As such, live sport, passionate fans, a couple of beers and some nice appetizers, and it should be a pleasant evening.

Makes a nice change from Liverpool’s form and the Salah situation…

Genuine question, what’s the difference between an air fryer and a conventional oven?

The ability to use one in a rented accommodation?

Also seems far quicker and so far the stuff has tasted better.

It also seems to do the job of a grill and pan.

It heats up quicker and cooks stuff quicker, but it’s smaller. So great for smaller oven cooks and not so great for a bigger family. Because it cooks quicker it can be more “fried” like in output.

I have a Ninja Foodi. This combines a lot of functions into one device including air fryer, saute, pressure cooker, dehydrator, slow cooker. I like that as you can do a lot of one pot cooking. Shallow fry then pressure cook or slow cook. A pressure cooked whole chicken finished off air fried all in one device is quick, juicy on the inside with crispy skin - nice

We bought a steam oven a few years ago, and we used it more often than the microwave.

Whaddya mean?

See you in the match thread v Inter. Enter at your own risk.

If I remember I might summarise the adjectives used during match time.

Clueless is the current buzz word.

Got a CPAP machine fitted today. Been snoring for a while, getting worse, turns out I have obstructive sleep apnea. I’d like to think it makes me look like Tom Cruise in Top Gun, but alas, that’s not quite true according to Mrs ROTW :joy:
