Queen looked in better shape too.

How scarily scary is this?! The fact that it can happen and then, that is can go so, so awry.

That’s awful.
Hope this guy is going to be alright

“Cases of mistaken identity have become increasingly common in Sydney’s underworld, the SMH reported, as large organised crime networks increasingly subcontract crimes”

Subcontracted to who
 fucking morons?

Of course that goes w/o saying. The world just beneath the surface is horrible to witness. I think there has been similar instances in the UK where a “contract” was carried out at the wrong location/individual

I just found out that a guy I went to school with took his own life. Apparently it is most common amongst men my age.

I hadn’t seen him for years, i found out through a mutual friend that I kept in touch with. It’s still quite a shock, though.

I’ll leave this here.

Sorry to hear that, RW.
Even if you weren’t close, I can imagine it stirs up some thoughts and memories.

Although admitting to and reaching out for help at times of personal crisis are now much less stigmatised, there’s still a long way to go.

Sorry to hear mate.

On my university graduation day we found out that one of our college mates had taken his own life. That’s the first funeral I went to as an adult.

Feel for you.

Sorry to hear this news. Hope you are ok.

This is so alarming. Apart from the state of their mental health, the devastating effect it has on the families left behind and trying to comes to terms with it asking why didn’t they see the signs.

Need to get the point across
Always to talk to someone or relevent organisation, it doesn’t matter how trivial or unmanly it may seem to people, seek help.

I think we just bought a house.

Not 100% sure due to various terms and conditions etc, but we signed something.
Blimey!

It’s stopped raining.

It’s always the wettest time of the year here , but this is of an entirely different magnitude. Historic levels of flooding across the South West of France after 35 consecutive day of rainfall.

Edit:38 days actually , that article is from 3 days ago.

Yeah, waking up to sun for once was a nice change up!

All the local brooks and streams are pretty full and the Garonne also
It was a strange winter. Really cold, -5 to -8 into Jan and then really wet with a recent storm of very high winds (+ rain) - only my 3rd winter here but the locals all say it been a pretty unusual one.

We’re at the foot of the PyrĂ©nĂ©es and are used to thunderstorms but that one that peaked last week (although it really lasted a week) literally shook the house, quite frightening in fact. But the amount of rainfall is really the thing. I’m just glad we’re nowhere near a river !

Yes, that storm was something. Basically didn’t sleep from about 1 am, when it really started to kick off here.

Likewise, we are not near a river and in our village we are away from the brooks/streams and so are relatively ok. Where I work however, is right next the the Garonne and colleagues were saying a week’s more worth of rain could be catastrophic - not just there but for the whole region
