What's happening?

Seriously, hopefully this will take a turn for the better soon, but at some point I need “punch a neurologist” therapy sessions.

Doctor at the emergency department used the word “scandalous” referring to the state she’s in and lack of proper treatment

Fucking hell, I’ve always thought that Germany has the best medical system in the Europe, I’m in total disbelief reading your past few posts… I really hope she pulls through, I got the impression that he managed to fight through the worst of it, so that’s nothing new for her. I’m in full Bolt Thrower mode these days, so fuck illnesses, fuck negligent medical staff, I’m wishing you both the utmost strength and the best of luck in this fight.

Omg! I am really shocked and saddened to hear what is happening to Mrs C and the bad attitude and lack of duty of care from the medical staff. The hospital acquired infection she has, hopefully should controlled with the right antibiotics. The hospital infection control protocols should be stringent.

Make sure you document everything, if you can. This is disgraceful.

I wish Mrs C all the best in her recovery. Stay positive LC and don’t let doctors be overbearing to you and don’t let them off.

She’s at the University Clinic now, emergency operation this morning, “infuriating development”. And yes Maria, I’m documenting this stuff now.

It’s shocking news really… All the best, mate, fingers crossed for that operation, and all my heartfelt thoughts for you both.

And still very little action

They took the shunt system out on Wednesday, because there was infection on/in it, which was apparently what had caused most of the issues. So now that shunt drainage system was exterior/outside of her body again. Then today I was told it had ‘slipped out, oops, that almost never happens, we’ll have to do another operation today’, which they’ve done.
And then she’ll need another one to put it back in again next week. Have lost count of how many operations she’s had in the last 3 months.

A cyclone will hit Bangladesh and India around midnight. Rain and wind is steadily increasing even in Dhaka, 200 km from the coast.

Mrs is getting better, doctors and staff at the ward of the University Hospital she’s now in are nice and seem competent (to me). She’ll be there for at least two weeks, so I’m glad she’s in good care.

I don’t have anything to contribue really, but hope that you won’t be affected @Iftikhar by that hurricane.

Mostly reading this thread I think of @anon27364116 though. Wish i could give you something more than my sympathy, mate. You are walking through hell :frowning:
Really hope a lot for the best outcome…
