Hendo encapsulates all we are. Made the very very best of his talent. Works for the team. loves the club. Nice chap despite all the money.
Keep him for his influence.

I think he would have done the same anyway. He strikes me as someone who would have taken the outcome from last season quite personally.
I hope they all do.
If only Keita, Ox and Thiago were as injury prone as Henderson weād be playing CL footy this season and probably have another couple trophies in the cabinet.
Perhaps, but I get the sense he is extra motivated this summer.
This coming season will be the last weāll see of henderson as someone whoās going to see starts in the league.
Post this season , itās mainly him going on and doing the Milner role.
Keep him till heās 35. Gives enough time for Trent to become the next long term captain.
Not a bad ideaā¦
Confirmation bias perhaps?
We shouldnāt be keeping players around primarily because they work hard in training. They need to be able to contribute on the pitch too.
We have plenty of senior players who set a good example. We have one of, if not the best, man manager in football. We donāt need Ā£7 million a year cheerleaders.
Influence and authority naturally diminish when performances arenāt good enough. Henderson is only going to command the respect of the squad if he can perform on the pitch.
Thankfully, i think its all lining up for him to have one of his better seasons this year. Should be fresh heading into the season, with fresh players alongside him to re-energise the midfield. Presumably opportunities for resting too. If we continue with that Trent driving into midfield role it can only benefit him (assuming we control the game or at least cover the flank sufficiently).
Our forward line should be good to go from the start, so only question for me will be around the defenseā¦but pre season training and perhaps another signing should help address any potential issues there.
I am a bit concerned about the blend up top. We have some great forwards, but Iām struggling to see how they fit together. I would love to see Darwin Nunez become a main man for us and bang in loads of goals, through the middle as a number nine, as the team behind him gets on the front foot and presses and pens the opposition in.
But I donāt know how it all fits together with the many options we have: Salah, Diaz, Gakpo, Jota and Nunez.
Obviously I see options, but I also see several who do good work coming off the left.
Arguably it is a bit unbalanced, and my slight (unfounded) fear is that Darwin Nunez continues to splutter along until we sort out the balance and recognize him properly as our main central striker. My suspicion is we wonāt see the best of Nunez until Salahās time at Liverpool is done.
I see Nunez smashing goals in left, right & centre in the Europa league earlier stages specifically, just to get his confidence going.
Given the turd we can be drawn against in the Europa league he SHOULD be on at least 5 before the knockout stages.
Klopp brought Aubameyang from St Ettiene to Dortmund and it took him 3yrs to really come on song. Iām not saying heāll be the same or better but thatās just an example.
Question is, which game will he get that in.
I donāt see him playing 1 game in the group, I see this year as a promising one. We can rotate more being in the Europa league and progress far in that. Itās a trophy we can win.
I know itās a ridiculous storyšā¦but would any be ok with this possibility? I mean the money is pathetic for someone to kick a ball for 90 minutes etc.
But there are two players on that list that some would happily let go given either performance has not been great last season and or because of injury etc, and also thiago is heading into the final year of his contract.
Jota one for me personally is a bit weird , but if Iām being honest I would let nunez go.
Itās the Express. I didnāt even bother clicking the link.
I know and understand shame there was no quotes from Gary from YouTube to make it compete.
Every summer we hear clubs are after Phillips but he still here. Sell Fabinho and Thiago and bring in Lavia and Inacio.
Do you only get your ānewsā from rumour peddlers or do you simply not pay attention to what JĆ¼rgen says?
Heās only stayed with us because of injuries, simple as. Otherwise heād have left a long time ago.
Any concrete links from clubs making bids for him?
