I wouldn’t have Mbappe here even if it was a possibility. Lad believes his hype too much; constantly moaning both on the pitch and in the media, lazy, refuses to work for the team.
I don’t care how talented you are, this (taken from his CL appearances last season)…
Is unacceptable.
Nothing he has done on the pitch or publicly convinces me that he would be willing or able to change his ways into a more active team player. All he talks about is wanting to win the Ballon D’Or and you don’t do that by working hard defensively.
Simply put - for all his attacking talent, for all his natural gifts… he isn’t good enough. He has the completely wrong mentality.

So hope that PSG accepts your rejects in exchange for Mbappe.
If Mbappe shows the inclination to work on his game. Klopp will take him up to another level altogether. Think he’s not the type though , and probably too old to be forced into accepting to do defensive and a more active team player.
Mbappe would have been a much better player had he come to Liverpool to play for Jurgen, after John Henry talked to him a few years ago. Instead, he went to PSG and the milk turned sour.
Obviously world class, and so talented.
But the workrate doesn’t convince, and neither do the megalomania traits, where there were whispers he wanted a lot of control and say so, beyond his lane as a player.
I think those sort of things would have been smacked down by a fatherly figure like Klopp and Mbappe would have grown further as a player and as a human being.
It’s not like he is too far gone now, and if he came (lol, as I don’t believe it is possible), I’m confident he would be world class for us, and Jurgen would help to shape him.
But some of what was possible, for the fresh faced phenom at Monaco, has now gone.

With the possibility of Henderson and Fab leaving, I’d be reluctant to lose Matip or Gomez. experience of winning trophies with Liverpool, knowing how Klopp wants to play, helping set the standards, Joe’s homegrown status will be vital.
Still don’t want to see Kostas start the season as a Liverpool player though.
