Thereâs value to be had with both of them, in relation to the stratospheric prices we see for others.
I could get on board the Kone bus, instead of Sangare, if thereâs a deal to be had there with Romaâs ffp worries.

Sangare isnât a defensive midfielder he is more of a box to box, Kamara has more of the defensive side and The Morrocan lad Bouaddi, is even more of a specialist DM

I avoided saying Bouaddi, as I was trying to identify better value. When Bouaddi moves on I expect it will be for near double the others we are mentioning here. If we signed him I would be happy as he looks like he will be a very good player indeed.

Bouaddi suited Slots style as he isnât a very good progressive passer, Kamara seems the middle ground player and Sangare is the more forward thinking but then again it all comes down to how each teams uses them.
Redmentv did a great feature on all of them and their strenghths and weaknesses.
BTW these assessments are from their stats not watching them, but their stats are from more than 10 games

The point for me was there is a lot better value out there in a midfielder, than competing for the likes of Anderson, or going in for Wharton or even Scott.
Sangare, Camara, possibly Kone if Roma have issues would all represent better value than many of the other names weâve seen.
For me, Bouaddi looks to be a good player so I would be happy if we did sign him, but the price is going to be steeper than we thought when we/most became aware of him.

Does every player have to be a progressive passer though? Why not put a progressive passer next to a really solid player?
So what happens if your progressive passer aka Wharton gets injured, which has happened often to him.
I am unlike you I donât like specific players for roles in midfield I think a midfielder needs to be more of a jack of all trades as otherwise you need 2 specialists for every role, otherwise injuries happen and it ferks your plans.
Plus a midfielder needs to be fluid in all situations otherwise you become predicatable.
They have a role but should also have some modicum of adaptability.
Look at Rodri for City he could play many roles as he had all the tools.

That dates back to July 2024. The case wasnât prodeded with and in June of last year he issued a âdirect apolgyâ which got him back in the national team. So that makes everything all right, doesnât it?
Someoneâs going to buy this player and I doubt if they will let his previous wrongdoings get in the way of their decision making. Weâve been linked with him as have Arsenal, Man U and B. Dortmund.

Exactly @sweeting. And itâs why the multi-club model was mooted. Clubs like liverpool have very few first team spots, and even fewer competitive minutes to allot. If we could farm players out to feeder/umbrella clubs then we could offer so many more minutes to so many more players. I donât fully understand why we havenât been able to execute on the multi-club front, nor why the about face, but it just means itâs hard to justify spending fees on players that may (or may not) be successful but we wonât know unless they are given lots of competitive minutes. I expect the âfailed prodigyâ model - 23-2 5 year olds who were at a very high academy level but didnât develop as quickly as hoped and dropped down before finding success - will become a much more reliable/sweet spot for players in this market.

The same thing that happens when any of your good players get injured. You do without. I don´t really get the argument. What happens when your best jack of all trades master of none gets injured? you go to the next guy who isnt as good.
It´s not realistic. Almost no midfielder is good at everything. It´s why PSG has Vitinha as their playmaker and a ball winner next to him. You could never play 3 Vitinha´s in there. The best midfield of the last 20 years had a sitter, a playmaker and a creater (Busquets, Xavi, Iniesta). The best Liverpool midfield had a ball winner, a playmaker and a guy to create and score (Masch, Alonso and Gerrard). 3 specialists always beats 3 generalists. It doesnt mean the specialists can´t do any other things but they have a specific function in the side.
Well yes and no. Rodri is a very good all-rounder (very rare) but could never play De Bruyne´s role. De Bruyne is a specialist and the best midfielder of the last decade in the Prem.

Just like Arsenalâs response to the Partey allegations. If Sano isnât likely to be charged for a couple of years then Arsenal have demonstrated that they wonât give a shit and will probably be glad to get him cheap.

It seems that the authorities will not be proceeding with the case. Which of course does not mean he is innocent, and his apology us an indicator of guilt.
Klopp would be against buying him but we donât really know about the current bunch.

If one of the all round midfielders gets injured another one steps up, a lot simpler than replacing a De Bruyne.
Also, where did I mention a best all round midfielder, oh I didnât!
On PSG, the donât have an out and out ball winner they all are good all round players.
Lastly, De Bruyne had Rodri and Silva as back ups both great all round midfielders and each had their particular strengths.
