If Arsenal keep on accumulating players, I wonder if there is a possibility to go for Nwaneri?
Nwaneri, plus another speedster on the wing, would give us four great options when you add Munoz and Ngumoha.

I’m operating on the premise that Iraola will want four wingers, to keep them all flying and giving their all.
As it stands it is Gakpo, Rio and Munoz (I’m assuming Chiesa will leave). Nwaneri takes it to four. But if Gakpo departs, I’d add another speed merchant.
The main shout is Nwaneri. He looked the part when he was breaking through, but he has been out on loan and he might not make his way back to Arsenal if they keep buying.
Sweeting and I discussed it a while ago - I think that Nwaneri was heavily scouted by Liverpool when he was a youth player at Arsenal. Since they already have Saka and Madueke, I think the path is closed for him there - unless they move him centrally, which might happen for him in the future (reminds me a bit of Rodgers in that aspect, I think he will be a player equally comfortable with the ball both centrally and on the right).
That said, competition is equally strong in central areas there, there’s also Dowman coming up and I think Nwaneri might be looking for an exit. The problem is, he signed a new contract prior to going out on loan, so he’ll probably cost a pretty penny…

Yep, he won’t be a bargain buy, and presumably the temptation for Arsenal to sell grows as I think it is all profit on the books.
As prices go up and up for everyone, even those who are a bit of a gamble, we might consider Nwaneri more of a known quantity who has shown he can perform in the Prem, even as he still waits to fully make his mark there.

I think he´s quite a good finisher. More of a striker than a wide player in my view though.
Not sure he´d add much wide for us but a solid player.

However, would Mane have worked as well if we didn´t have Firmino and instead had Isak?

I think any wingers we buy need to be able to create for others and pass into the box from wider areas. As well as score of course.
Because Isak will thrive from that.

I got nostalgic watching Mane’s wing play and crossing yesterday.
Pedro Neto mentioned in one of the other threads. I’d be down for that. No CL at Chelsea so could a deal be done? Would prob still take £80mil. Consistent top performer, could see him really help get the best out of Isak, Ekitike and Wirtz.
Hasn’t he had a lot of injury problems?

According to Transfermarkt, he missed 9 games for Chelsea over the last two seasons. He did his ACL at Wolves if I remember correctly, though. Also, he has five years left on his contract according to Transfermarkt. I don’t see us signing him - he’s a decent player but Chelsea would ask for more than he’s realistically worth.
