Rodri Mendoza (owned by Atleti) is skilful but doesn´t have Wharton´s passing range. I think he´s more of a 10.
I like Guerra. I think he´s a really good all-round player. Doesn´t have Wharton´s passing though.

Just for reference, here is Wharton. Watch the first 2 minutes or more if you like and see how he cuts through teams with his passing. That quality is so rare.

Passing range of Wharton is another one of those EPL hype, in a team that is not even a possession heavy team.

I doubt you can find me one of a player from one of these bottom La Liga teams you claim have even better passing. I ll break it down in response if you like.

Canât help but think in a market where every half decent CM is at least ÂŁ80m and those with an English premium are ÂŁ100m, we should probably just play Curtis Jones a bit more.
Or buy Tyler Morton back.

You mentioned AI, how did you get information on those players without AI and in such a short time?
I like Wharton from what I have seen and his stats speak for themseleves, however, would Whartonâs progressive passing stats have been as good under Slot?
Just look how Trent changed in that season under Slot.
The issue with a lot of stats can come down to a coach and their style.
Then on other hand, a coach, having Wharton and not using his abilities ainât much of a coach.
At this moment, I feel it maybe a year early for Wharton to us as we need to stabilise the midfield from a defensive point of view, then buy Wharton next year.
Just maybe I am wrong and Iraolaâs coaching and improving fitness of the players alleviates the midfield defensive frailties because I love players that can pick a pass.

Youâre right, a lot is style dependent and everything has to be contextualized. A club with more good midfielders would share the load more than Palace do for example.

Whoever we go for in midfield, presuming we will/have to I do feel we will be far better coached and set up in both the defensive and attacking phases.

As I said, I live in Spain, follow a Spanish team and watch Spanish football.
I did have to Google Casado´s age vs Wharton though.
I think we need both those things very badly.
We have neither defensive solidity in midfield nor anybody who can pass through the lines or over the top.
I´d buy a midfielder for each but if we´re buying one, I guess it´s just preference which we go for first in my view.
Curtis Jones is leagues apart from Wharton.
Heâs a decent lad but has nowhere near the passing talent.
I donât know if Jones will stay with Liverpool but even if we keep him I just donât see him as starting midfielder material.
Heâs a good backup to have in your pocket, yes, but not a guy you want on the pitch facing top 6 clubs or Europeâs finest in the CL.
The main issue with Wharton is his pricetag but buying him would help our English homegrown requirements as well as upgrade our midfield talent.
