Talking about passing quality, especially from midfield is almost always a vision thing more than a technique thing. It’s a question of reading the game well enough in your head that you can find the right space and then take up the right body position that the pass you’d picked out 2 passes ago is on and relatively easy to hit. I mean these are all professional footballs and if you give them time they can knock it 60 yards and land it on a dime. Except for Grav. He genuinely does just kick it in the wrong direction quite often

Wrong again, Fabinho played more as a right back, lots of criticism of Mo’s purchase and everyone thought we overpaid for Virg as they didn’t think he was the complete package.

I think Arne’s coaching and his risk averse passing style put doubts into a lot of the players minds and they just weren’t doing things naturally.
I was concerned with Gravs passing last season, I’m sure he wasn’t as bad the previous season?
Problem is they could be coached by Slot next.

I agree with this. That’s why I often talk about passing through the lines.
It’s largely the choice of pass (well obviously weighting and where you place it relative to the receiver ) that separates the best frok the rest.
Hendo for example could play pretty much any pass from a technical perspective
Yes Fab was bought as a DM, but was also considred a top RB and only changed to DM at Monaco after excelling as a FB.

Don’t agree. He was a well known up and coming DM with a good reputation. Whether he began as a DM is irrelevant. By the time we signed him he was playing DM and had a good reputation.

He is skilful but I am not sure he is dynamic enough for what I would like. Not sure he´s provide that pace and be able to stretch teams.
