IMO so far Alex Scott is closest to a new Jordan Henderson, among those that are still at least somewhat available in the transfer market.
If we take Iraolaās words on not needing a specialist No.6 then we do need a new Jordan Henderson.
Why do we need a new Jordan Henderson?
Unless itās for the leadership. I donāt get the logic.
Yes Camara feels like our next move after Barcola has been secured from PSG.
I would get Sarr first for two or three years and Also Camara because Sarr can hit the ground running and heāll contribute with goals as many as Gakpo and the latter is tough as old boots in midfield. Minteh in January because of his injury as we donāt how long his recovery is going to be , he might end up like Isak reappearing a year later after his leg break.
Sarr is supposedly injured, groin strain?
At this stage, being realistic, no chance of anybody like Wharton (youād think) to be that passing player in midfield, so I would probably go for a solid holding player who can also pass fairly positively. Camara or Chema Andres would be the two I could think of. Theyād be good additions I reckon and leave us quite balanced overall. Although part of me wants to see if Nyoni is up to it now.
As it stands now, with Gakpo still here, I wouldnāt buy Minteh or Sarr, but instead save the money until January or next summer and get the best available right winger (work done early), a ball playing CM to run the show and a right back. Would give VM his chance on the right and cover with Barcola occasionally this season.
If we want to sell Gakpo that changes things but I donāt see any RW I really would want, other than Endrick. Probably the only one who could cover up top too. Using it to fund a midfielder, ok but weād be a bit short on the wings and up top.
But they want £100M for him but in the meantime Chelsea are buying players from 3 different PL club and selling them players at a lower cost.
Is it a proper injury or is he doing a Coutinho?
If he is injured, Iād prefer it if we could find a RW who isnāt. I donāt ask for much.. just donāt buy injured wingers, please.
Thats why I put the question mark!
Yeah I know, just wondering out loud, didnāt expect you to have an answer

Me have answers, never
If we arelooking at a midfielder from a statistical and on the eye point if view Camara is the most rounded choice.
He can pass, dribble, shoot to a good standard and he likes a tackle.
Would be a great option for us as he has better defensive awareness than our current starting midfield but isnāt a 1 trick pony.
Probably the best available option yes. Gets a foot in well and is quite a solid holding midfielder generally. Not an amazing passer but quite positive and tidy. More positive than our midfielders. Not a big dribbler but can get out of a situation if needed.
For 50 to 60mil I think heād be a fairly solid addition. We donāt have that kind of midfielder unless you count Endo.
Have to say, I was a bit concerned by how easily their midfield was overrun against us though. Even though I have seen him do well against PSG.
Iraola spoke (end of last season) about Scottās evolution at Bournemouth, saying how at the start if someone told him heād become a #6, he wouldnāt have believed. But now that he was totally comfortable with him in that role.
Reminds me of what Klopp said he told Robertson before we signed him:
āI like everything about what youāre doing offensively, and I donāt think I like anything of the things you do defensively.ā
But after a while, he learned.
Forest looking at Palaces Munoz.
Id have him
Iām sure Palace would be delighted to receive a bid from LFC late in the window for one of their defenders ![]()
Plus I didnāt realise Chelseawere involved.
I would as well he is a RB if I remember rightly?
