Who would you buy? (Part 2)

Overall it is, the lesser teams are stronger

I don“t think so. I think they“re mostly poor and full of mediocre players (as they have always tended to be i guess)

The last two titles have not been won by particularly great sides and Man City are nowhere near their former strength.

RB: Palestra / Munoz

CB: Lacroix / James Hill

LB: Jordan Bos / Hartmann

Mid: Tonali / Camara

RW: Diomande / Minteh

ATT: Bowen

This squad is ridiculous. None of them has hair like Dom.

Those mediocre players are of a higher calibre than previous versions of their teams.

@ISMF , you can add another set of stats to the Jaffod Graph…

@jaffod … never seen you this optomistic, thats shaved almost 25% off your target

The evidence is simply how dominant English teams are in Europe. Whoever qualifies for the Conference League or Europa League is immediately a/the favourite and probably goes on to win it.

What the PL lacks is elite teams at the top of the league.

Alex Scott?

I also think he did his ACL earlier in the season. Looked a proper talent, though, a Drogba-esque bully of a centre forward.

I haven’t included Jacquet or the possible returns of Elliott and Tsimikas into my workings out. We’re still in double figures. :slightly_smiling_face:

This one has already been refuted.

Gerrard, Torres, Lucas, Maxi Rodriguez, Meireles, Kuyt, Insua, Agger, Johnson, Aurelio, Flanagan etc didn’t travel.

Conor Bradley is a better defender than Glen Johnson

The famously fit and available Fabio Aurelio…

Ah yes, that’s the clincher…

He would be, if he wasn’t constantly injuring himself. And his injuries are always significant ones. I’m not even counting him

If you really want me to put together a more detailed breakdown, I can. But while I think there are definitely areas we need to strengthen in this summer, saying this squad is weaker than Hodgson’s is, for me, just plain wrong. It was dire.
