It’s certainly possible, but I don’t know man. Mac A was excellent in the World Cup as well. Enzo stole the headlines but Mac A was very solid. Caicedo is everywhere on the pitch and seems to be a destroyer type…something we need. Of course I can be wrong as I am just a fan that happens to watch a lot of football.
I don’t think we can fuck around in this window. We need about sure things in midfield.
I agree with that. Gravenberch would be the third midfielder for me, a top notch 6, a right sided 8, and then add Gravenberch as another 8 on the left, would be fine in that context.
I do think he will be good, mind.
Just before he went to Bayern, everyone here was drooling over Gravenberch. Has he suddenly become shit or something.
Highly doubt he’s good enough to start for us straight away. Seems like another deal being made because it is good ‘value’ rather than being the right player, like Gakpo and Carvalho.
So, underwhelmed. Not a problem if he signs with two better players, but I’m not confident of that.
ThIs is my view, if he’s the third midfielder alongside say Max Allister and a no.6 like Ugarte great, but he needs a good 6 months I’d say to bed in, we need some starters.
Is considered an all tool midfielder in the Netherlands the only thing that seems to be missing is some spice he can be absent in games …
Er, not really. Try up the M62, the Mancs love it.

Feel confident in saying we won’t be bringing in three new midfielders. We will replace Ox and Keita. No other cms will be leaving. Thats what I see happening.
I also think we’ll only buy two midfielders. No indication Fabinho will be moved on and we are linked with a lot of number 8s but hardly any 6s. Hope I’m wrong though.
Not a fan of Mount but he could come in as a versatile player and not specifically as a midfielder.
If we continue with our preferred 4-3-3 formation which I think we will, I dont see where Mount fits in. I dont rate him as an 8. I could only see him been used in a 4-2-3-1 as a 10. We only use this formation against weaker teams or when chasing a game. Would rather go for a player who is suited to a 4-3-3 formation. The formation i see mainly been played.
Arthur is leaving too.
Have the feeling that something changed in the last few weeks in terms of giving Milner a new contract. Rightly so.
Two of Hendo, Fab, Curtis and Thiago might leave next year.
It’s about being pro-active (like we’ve been in attack with bringing in Jota before Origi left, Diaz before Sadio left and Gakpo before Bobby leaves).
Can not wait for too long and see what happens.
Bajcetic, Henderson, Fabinho, Thiago, Elliott, Jones and 2 new midfilders, maybe Milner also. Thats what I see next season. Arthur leaving isn’t going make any difference.

I suspect it will come down to offers. If we get get decent bids for Fabinho and/or Thiago, then it might be too much to ignore
I also wouldn’t be opposed to Milner staying, if there was a substantial reduction in his wages commensurate with his status as a cover option.
My preference would be to do three and move on one of Fab or Thiago. But it wouldn’t be too shabby to get in two quality lads to replace Keita and Ox and go from there. It’s essentially two additions on what we have now. You can’t count Keita or Ox as contributing players.
Three would be nice but I would be happy with getting two quality players to replace Henderson and Fabinho in the starting eleven.
If we’re bringing in only two players, fine, but they have to be better than Mount and Gravenberch.
This is how I see it as well. One, albeit quite small part of me thinks that Bellingham will wait for one more season before making a decision on his future and maybe the powers that be at our club know it as well, so they’ll target one central and one defensive midfielder this summer and Klopp will work with that group.
It would make sense because it would improve the solidity and dynamic of our midfield, enable Klopp to experiment a bit with Trent’s roles, while giving space to younger players to grow. It would likely leave space for another injection of quality in midfield the next year as Thiago will need replacing, maybe one of Fabinho and Henderson as well.

Ignoring Arthur, and treating Carvalho as a forward, we still have 9 CMs. Our squad is too big yet not strong enough and it is the CM department that most exemplifies that. To bring in 2 CMs in the summer will surely require more than just Ox and Naby to be allowed to leave when their contract ends. Even if we add Milner as a 3rd, that amount of new players surely requires more outgoings. To bring in 3 new ones…
We already have more numbers in midfield than we need, so we don’t need the exact amount coming in. There will be surely more players leaving this summer than arriving. Sure, injuries have again been problematic this season and that’s a different topic. We have to do what’s in our power to try and minimize it. But having too many players is problematic, unhealthy for the group. We see it at Chelsea, even if we’re not as wild as them. We need more clarity and healthier competition between players. Not all have to be sold, some players will benefit from a loan elsewhere.

This is what makes me wonder whether we will see Fabinho re-introduced to his back up CB role if he does not leave and is no longer viewed as a starter in midfield?
