Who would you buy?

Great forward but I have my doubts.

I highly doubt we’ll sign an Italian again.

Sorry…

I haven’t got it all researched out with enough data points, but I think we are starting to see the emergence of some PSR clubs in the Premier League who will do each other a bit of a favor to suit.

Unfortunately it is also wrapped up in a block starting to come together around Man City, to protect them a little bit, when they should be isolated and made an example of.

Yeah, it’s a dangerous trend and it’s why the PL have to act now to protect what little integrity it has left.

Don’t hold your breath.

The relationship between Chelsea and City in that regard needs to be looked at

The transfers between the two clubs for one. It’s very easy to inflate prices there

Yeah, it was inevitable when you can book the whole value of a sale, but only have to book an amortised percentage of a purchase.

I think Maatsen was a player Villa really liked, and Chelsea were happy to help them along by buying one of their young midfielders at an inflated price. Both clubs get PSR wriggle room, and Villa owe Chelsea a favour.

Daniel Jebbison and Divin Mubama have been released by Sheffield United and West Ham respectively. Both are 20 year old CFs.

Jebbison scored on his debut aged 17 3 seasons ago but has had illness and injury issues limiting his first team chances.

Mubama is a bully of a CF but was never given chances under David Moyes.

I don’t think either of them are world beaters, but they should be solid PL strikers one day. They apparently both look set to move for first team chances but I’d absolutely take a chance on them. Loan to L1/CH for a season and see where they are at.

Another pair of talented players have been released. Reuell Walters and Amario Cozier-Duberry have been let go by Arsenal.

Walters is a very talented RB technically and has a really high ceiling but he loses focus defensively and there are question marks about his committment to the sport - he rejected a contract at Tottenham aged 16 (that even had first team training guarantees in it) and rejected signing for Manchester United after a trial to pursue a career as a professional gamer. He made a bunch of money doing that but eventually decided to go back to football which is when he signed for Arsenal.

Cozier-Duberry is a dynamic winger, loves running at players, can go right or left foot. Added goals to his game this season but saw chances limited by Arsenal’s squad never getting injured. He’s shown himself as something of a leader despite being a winger, always has a good attitude.

Both of them are strongly linked with signing for Newcastle, who I imagine are giving them huge contracts and first team promises.

Swerve the gamer, get the leader.

Nico Williams is a gem of a player. He’s only 21 and has a lot of upside. I agree its hard to prise loose the Basque players for whatever reason. I wonder if they sign their contracts in blood or something of that sort? Nico would be a great replacement for Diaz if he gets sold to Barcelona.

Willian Pacho / Marc Guehi

The problem with Nico is that his wage demands are outrageous.

Hasnt Palinha already signed for Bayern, or has it not yet been finalised?

Not yet, negotiations ongoing.

Exactly why this won’t happen.

How good is Bakayoko? Hasn’t been much talk about him lately. Is he viewed more as a prospect? Or someone who can really make a mark in the Premier League at our level?

I would have thought the wages will be fine, the fee fine - maybe even offset with Sepp VdB going there?

Mentioned Nico here about a year ago or more, when he was heading into the last year of his contract. But what were the chances of him not extending with Bilbao for a little while…

Cozier-Duberry has signed for Brighton.
