Yan Diomande (Winger) RB Leipzig

As Patchwork has already pointed out they’re after considerably more than that.

Didn’t know about the release clause. Was thinking Hughes could do his magic.

I’m sure if Rayan does go, it’ll be for less then the release clause but Bournemouth are going to be similar to Leipzig and prefer to sell next summer after he has driven his price up more. So it turns into having to bid high enough to get them to let go early when they know he will likely increase in value if they hold onto him and also give them another good year.

Clubs like Bournemouth and Brighton can afford to speculate on youth. i do think it’s time that we get some youngsters early in as well. Cutting out the middle men or so to speak. I can’t remember when we’ve last signed people directly from the south american leagues and they made it into the first team.

Brentford pulled out of the deal because his parents, who I think also act as his agent, were requesting Brentford also sign his older brother.

Yeah, I get it; the brother only plays for the U21s, though. I find that odd, but maybe the two of them have never been apart and neither wants to move to a foreign country alone. That can be tough for some people. Here, at least, he’d have Wirtz there for support.

It wouldn’t be a hard request for a club to accept if they wanted the player. I think it would be better for the lad to have someone he could at least come home to who was a familiar face. Might stunt the other lads development but thats the parents decision.

If we did that, it would leave us so much more money to invest in the rest of the team.

And then we could buy the next great right or left winger when one is available.

Could be a good shout you make.

El Mala looks like he has good footwork but not sure he has the explosive pace to really be a top wide player.

Footage of him isnt that available though. Diomande clearly does have it

Yeah I understand the logic of it, and maybe his brother is someone who keeps his head straight so parents want that influence. If Cologne want money for the brother too though I can see why that might cause hesitation.

I dunno about this one. Get the feeling he want’s PSG.

Basically states they’re waiting in the background? For what? To see how much Leipzig agree on and then just match it? Feels fishy to me.

Maybe PSG doesn’t have room in the squad right now either—I read that somewhere. They would have to sell someone first. With us, at any rate, his spot would be all but guaranteed. That could certainly play a role for him.

So €110m will get it done 🫱🏽‍🫲🏾

more like 120, me thinks

Hopefully, it will end up like the Wirtz situation. After some back-and-forth, they’ll eventually reach an agreement. However, I really don’t like the fact that all of this is playing out so publicly.
