Yan Diomande (Winger) RB Leipzig

According the TAW interview with Ballague he can play left wing and at No9.

From the analysis I’ve read/watched it seems he’s not really capable of playing no9, rather he can play as a second-striker off a CF, kinda thing.

But he can play RW as well as LW, probably no10 too if needed (although we’re well stocked there).

I think with Diomande and Munoz we’ll see them come in with a primary position in mind but the willingness to try them across the front line when needed.

I remember when we were looking at signing Salah and everyone was worried that Sadio’s best position was right wing as was Salah’s. We worked that out and then both of them did stints up top in the middle. Same with Diaz year before last, he was probably our best striker that season having not really done that before.

I imagine we’re going to see a forward line that’s a lot more fluid and less of the number 9 isolated in the middle. Who knows, we might even see some mid game switching of roles for short periods. Would certainly be nice if we were less predictable than last season.

Yes but then everyone forgets and expects us to spend big every summer when we are still paying off the previous ones.

You’d think Klopp would be able to get us ‘mates rates’ on this deal, seeing as he works for Red Bull.

Yan Diomande on tomorrow’s game against Germany: “When you play in Germany, you quickly see that everything there is very structured. Discipline is very important, punctuality, intensity in training. I learned a lot as a result, both on and off the pitch. Germany is a very strong team; they never give up and fight until the end. Add to that their individual quality. That makes them very strong. Florian Wirtz, for example, is a very creative player who finds solutions in the final third, even in tight spaces. Players like that can change a game with a single action.”

That translation is a little inaccurate. He actually said:
“Florian Wirtz, for example, is a very creative player who finds solutions in the final third, even in tight spaces. I can’t fucking wait to play alongside him at the mighty reds”

He must have registered his birth himself.

I don’t think he looks particularly old.

Its certainly not like the one from Lazio a few years back that someone posted.

Definitely not like Ifter the shifter.

RB Leipzig have turned down an offer of £87m from Liverpool for Ivory Coast winger Yan Diomande as they want £113m for the 19-year-old. (Liverpool Echo)

Unreliable and form the Echo via the BBC if that is correct and it is pounds, walk away

Wasn’t that position about 4 days ago? Though it is the echo.

I am so torn on this, I dont want to pay the price, in fact the prices are obscene, but he could our next shining star and help make the others blossom.

Thing is…youre not buying him. The club are and are happy with the fee.

110-125 M euros is maybe high but if he has 2-3 good seasons we can sell to PSG/RM for 250 odd… Even if he is bang average, we could still recoop 60 odd for him.

I would argue he, or someone similar, is a must and would be key to capitalising on the investment we made last year. Isak and Wirtz would both thrive with him in the same team as that would mean three game changers other defenses will have to deal with.

If he’s worth 250 and we sell him, we all will be miserable.
