I was confident we would land him. Oh well, Barcola it is then, unless we have something up our sleeves. I feel like PSG will fleece us on the fee given they know we desperately need a winger. Fuck me.
Honestly, I can’t be bothered. Spending an eye watering sum to buy potential more than anything else, never felt right.
We should be all right with Barcola, or whoever else the club deems fit.

If we sign Barcola, it will he on our terms i suspect, and a lower fee than PSG want.
Why would we now help PSG, let them end up stuck with Barcola and Diomande if they want i say.

PSG is a much more stable situation and he knows they’ll win trophies. Us, not so much. Money also played a factor I’m sure.
Theyve just won back to back champions leagues playing lovely football and can offer bigger wages than anyone. In both sporting and personal terms they are probably the top club on the planet atm.
Thatll change when Enrique leaves, but while he’s there they are the creme de la creme atm

Not a huge fan of Barcola. He’s a bit too similar to all the current front lot - Isak, Gakpo and Ekitike. Pass for me.

I’m still not entirely sure about bringing in Barcola, someone who has predominantly played LW and is right-footed, to be our first-choice starting RW.
I think we need a specialist, and I wouldn’t be entirely surprised if it ends up being someone left-field (ironically).

Plenty of valid reasons as to why he’d want to go there beyond them offering good money.
Personally not really arsed on missing out on him. A lot of risk attached to that transfer. Plenty of other options out there.

Yeah I’m not either, but seems he is at least a likely option. If it’s not Diomande then I’d rather find a less expensive option that we think can take a massive step up in the next year or two. A more under the radar solution. It does worry me a bit that Barcola isn’t as comfortable on the right.
Make no mistake, though, Diomande is electric. I believe he will be world class. I am disappointed.
