That’s fraught with difficulty too. We notice the Rayan’s and Minteh’s. We don’t so much notice the ones who don’t make it.

Exactly. You’ve less data so less confidence they’ll kick on.
As much as Brighton and Bournemouth deserve their plaudits they take a lot of swings and people really only focus on the ones that land. And also it seems you get a “big club premium” quoted that these guys don’t so they’d cost us more than they’d cost them but we also need them to contribute at a higher level sooner.

Of the three we’ve been linked with I can see why Minteh is the only one we’ve bid on. Could perhaps become a beast under the right guidance.

Looking at those stats I wonder if we’re thinking of him playing in midfield? We certainly wouldn’t be looking to him for goals!
Sounds like we’ll do a new asymmetrical shape but this time on the opposite side of ex-Salah’s. Barcola gets a bit more freedom on the left compared to the player on the right.
Though I don’t like our options at full back to compliment that, but there you go.
We’ll see. 
Wingers in Andoni’s system usually tuck in when defending and put in a shift defensively. We might be willing to overcompensate here on that given the attacking nature of the rest of our forwards.

That reads if you believe it, is a new winger will only come in if Gakpo goes not Gakpo goes when we sign a new winger. It truly is a baffling way to do things.
Am i the only one who doesn’t like the fact that Minteh is out nearly 1/2 the season through injury and recovery… and may not hit the ground running.
Most of the fan base will be calling him an expensive flop.
More importantly, we would already have lost Gakpo, who provided reliable experienced depth.
And we could be out of 3 competitions by then.
The point is… We need to buy players who can help contribute now.

Munoz and Barcola with Rio in reserve for either flank isn’t terrible to have to make do with for another month if Minteh if we’ve decided Minteh is the best option medium and long term.

I’m not sure Dom has shown himself to be irreplaceable in the middle either and could be trusted to offer cover on the right flank if needed, particularly if we’re bringing in another midfielder this window.

He is not irreplaceable. I was extremely critical of him in the Newcastle match but he is undoubtedly one of the better players last season. He also looked a lot more comfortable in RB last night and last season. Maybe he is just the reverse version of TAA. They are at best when taken out of the busy traffic sections of the field because they cannot focus enough constantly .when they are taken out of those area, they look very effective. That’s a consideration and maybe something Dom and Iraola can work further on

Have to wonder what is going on in some heads in the LFC offices for a while now.
Not strengthening significantly,if at all in Defence and midfield looks odd, but flogging Gakpo to Citeh beggars belief, if it happens.He may not be the best but he sure as hell is not the worst.
Never been a fan of the "Head Coach "bollocks,wonder how much actual say he gets in who comes and who goes,cerainly it is early days for Iraola,but the way it worked with Slot was shit,and many ,including me felt Slot made some dense decisions but maybe, just maybe, the damage was done above him.

Im not even sold on Minteh medium or long term. At that price.
There is a reason all the top teams are not chasing his signature.
Some players look very ordinary playing for a big club like LFC. For example Kerkez.
I see a serviceable wing. Who tracks back. But i dont see a potential star player… If we do sign him… i hope to be proven wrong.

Koumas & Chiesa? also options to play across the whole front. All them wingers can all player either side also + Munoz at ST.
This depth in attack is probably good enough.

I’d expect Chiesa and Elliott to leave by the end of this window, though who knows in what kind of deal (Chiesa doesn’t look like such a bargain anymore, eh?). And judging by Iraola’s words, I think Koumas will stay, at least until January.

Tricky with Chiesa and Elliot. I’m sure we would accept offers for them but the only link rumored for either of them is Elliot going on a loan until his contract runs out. I wouldn’t be surprised if one or both of them are still here at the end of the window.
