Alexander Isak (CF) Newcastle

Sociedad will get some 5m-6m in sell on clauses i guess. 10% of profit i think was the clause being mentioned.

Sociedad bought Isak for 15m , sold him for 70m. And still stand to get another 6m in a sell on clause.

Newcastle bought him for 70m and sell him for 120m. 6m out of that is probably going to Sociedad. All this shit just to gain 42m whereas it’s Sociedad who’s gotten the best deal. No wonder they were happy to let Isak train there.

So, it’s almost official then. 125m British pounds… talk about some inflation… :see_no_evil_monkey:

I know I won’t make friends with this opinion, but here goes: it’s insane, immoral, and scandalous. I don’t blame LFC, I blame the football world, it’s gone totally mad. But LFC prove once again that they are a part of that utter madness.

As for Isak and if he’s ‘worth’ that absolute fortune, well… we’ll have to see.

I’d be surprised if anyone disagrees with that. The money in modern football is obscene in every sense of the word. Don’t think I’ve had a single irl conversation about our transfer window that hasn’t featured me emphasising that. Just as I did when it was other clubs spunking similar figures. The sport is a far cry from its working class roots.

Liverpool spend what they make. If you have to blame , blame the rise of the oil oligarch clubs for inflating the prices to this level.

Modern day football is vile.

I go and watch Leyton Orient and its league 1 but light years away from Prem League in terms of finances.
They only offer their players 2 year deals and theres a huge turnover every summer as most signings are loans.

But if LFC dont spend they become a Fulham or maybe even a Wigan. Its vile but it is what it is.
