Looks convincing enough to me
Craig Hope

Looks too darn short. Did Sandcastle cut off his legs ?

… the medical, I mean.
How else do you expect them to fit him into the suitcase they are sending?

I thought they used bodybags instead.

Instead of breakfast it’s strikers Newcastle wanted to sign/keep
Nah, bodybags are too civilized, plus suitcases are more discreet as they could as easily be used for genuine luggage
But if LFC dont spend they become a Fulham or maybe even a Wigan. Its vile but it is what it is.
I know. Nothing LFC could ever do about that if the club intends to remain at the top.
However, I’m still a bit taken aback by the reckless nature of this transfer. A record transfer fee on a notoriously injury-prone player. This isn’t Mo we are talking about, nor Mané, nor Bobby. This is a player who is likely to miss out on one third of our games. If we are lucky, that is.
Before some people jump on me, please consider that the club isn’t infallible by any stretch of the imagination. Nunez was already a transfer fee record at the time, and look how it panned out.
We signed him ![]()
He missed 7 games last season 5 of which were a broken toe.

I hope he’s not a sicknote sam…
Maybe for a week or two we can just bask in having bought one of the best strikers in the world. There’s plenty of time for worrying about fitness and performance down the line.
This is a great day to be a red. Enjoy!
The seasons before however were horrible. Twelve games missed in 23-24, and 18 games missed the season before that. Last season was his first ‘reasonable’ one in quite a while.
Also, knowing our luck with injury-prone players, you just know where that is heading to. I expect him to miss half of this season 1, especially with no proper pre-season training under his belt. Our physios will have to be extremely careful there.
1 only half-joking, ask @Nikola for any further explanation. ![]()
So after all this wrangling and PR war Newcastle have been waging they’ve sold Isak for £15m more than the initial “derisory” offer we made a month ago and then spent all of it on the German Peter Crouch and a 28 year old Wissa who they’ve been chasing all summer having initially offered £25m.
So by my maths that £25m less than they wanted for Isak and £30m more than they wanted to pay for Wissa. Great process lads, you’ve done a cracking job this summer and really shown everyone you won’t be taken for mugs.
Breaking: Liverpool Echo make late move for Luke Edwards as a backup option for standing at the kiosk in Lime Street station! Newcastle’s Saudi owners refuse to let him go for anything less than 150m and are insulted by the tactics to unsettle the clubs mouthpiece this late in the window leaving them with only a stopped clock and stuck record to publicise their propaganda.

chess masterclass by Howe. How to checkmate yourself.
I’ve never been a fan of finishing kings of the transfer season. In fact, it’s worth absolutely nothing in my eyes. I’ll enjoy things when I see him in action and he confirms that he’s worthy of that lunatic transfer fee.
Trying to find the right joke about headloss and Saudi owners, but you get it
