Let the games begin. Doesn’t say how much we bid.

I don’t know, the bid being formally made has some significance

Well, the news about our bid came right as I was typing. So, everything’s good now, something’s happened…yayyyy

Seen a few reports of £120m (£60m of which would be paid upfront) plus £15m in add-ons

Got it wrong by 4 days. Oh well.

I think Newcastle will want to win a PR war, so it will be 150 with add ons, but a lot of those add ons will have zero chance of being met.

so sky saying the bid was £110m.
he thinks £120m with add ons and Toon may accept

Really is a mad summer to be a Liverpool fan.

Enjoy it whilst it lasts as I doubt we see another one like this again.

£130m upfront

5 more for league titles,
5 more Champions League finals,
5 more for 2 Golden Boots in 5 years
5 more for 100 goals in 5 years.

Not a totally unreliable.

We had to go low-ish with cash as I wouldn’t be surprised if further proposals include player(s) as an alternative to further cash.

At least things are moving.

And now you’re gonna believe us
We’re gonna win the transfer window!

But seriously (Lampard transition), Isak + CB + hopefully a Diaz replacement would probably make it one of the best windows ever, maybe only 2009 Real Madrid would beat it.

So, Newcastle are making this contingent on finding a replacement, huh. Does anyone know any forwards who might be available?
