Alexander Isak (CF) Newcastle

If I wasn’t invested in us signing Isak, I’d probably take a lot of enjoyment watching Newcastle and Man U fight over Sesko.

I am presuming that Sesko is leaning towards Man U by virtue of their bid. But it’s also possible that Man U saw Sesko slipping away last night and are making a last gasp bid.

I’m guessing we’ll know for sure very soon.

Newcastle is such a beautiful place :joy: This is hilarious tbf Liverpool fans trying to convince a player to reject United.

Who are these people on that picture btw??

I think isak is a cracking player. But I’d rather we get the defensive reinforcements firsts.

Isak is someone who’s the gravy over a well constructed dish. The base however needs to be the defense.

Don’t we already have the Gravy playing in midfield

Most analyses of their finances suggested they were kind of stuck as a default, but could potentially make a number of moves depending on how well their sales go, with a good summer being able to free up enough money to make substantial signings. So far nothing good has happened on that front, but maybe that’s all bubbling along now.

Problem is it’s in the arse end of nowhere. I always thought this might be an issue if they tried to replicate City but they don’t seem to be doing even that.

Why does the order matter?

We sold Quansah a month ago and knew we’d need to replace him so it’s not like they’re sat around thinking “once we’ve got Isak we should probably think about CB”.

Personally I reckon Guehi is all but done. Newcastle briefing the media they’re back in for him is just bluster on their part. Once Palace play their qualifier and possibly the Community Shield I think it’ll all fall into place quite quickly.

We have been there as well in the past. I can’t quite remember whose shirts were burnt by fans. Mascherano maybe?

Granted I’m not a Premier League footballer but give me Newcastle and the beauty of Northumberland over London any day. Newcastle also has an airport. If you’re making £100k a week you can stick the missus on a flight down to London once a week for her to waste money on designer garbage.

Never underestimate the spending power of females with a credit card.

Not necessarily they are very nearly signing Wissa and are looking at signing either Jackson or Wadkins as well.

yes, it must be their mum’s buying their clothes and cars.

Not sure if you’re joking but just in case you’re not, it was Stevie.

Yes you’re right, but another player before him got that treatment as well. Can’t remember… was it Torres? Or Mascherano?

Both players came after Steve’s flirtation with Chelsea and subsequent shirt burning, but don’t remember either having their shirt burned. Could be wrong though.

Neither did

Newcastle such a well “oiled” machine left Matt Target in Hong kong and they wonder why Isak wants away.

Nearly…

I’m nearly sleeping with Dom S.

The fact I’m not has some small practicalities but….
