Position he takes up before the run up reminds me a lot of Gundo’s penalty approach (although he had a shorter run up). Quality tonight, much better when he’s controlling from that LCM zone and his stronger foot is more facing the game, all kinds of passing lanes are open.

Not sure but probably… was just remembering some other guy whose name escapes me taking them for Argentina.
Another lovely assist for Darwin’s second (nice movement from Cody for that one, too). Those two look to be building a good relationship on and off the pitch.

It’s a mark of how average Caicedo looks now because Mac isn’t there backing him up. The best players elevate the players around them.
